Sometimes I have to wonder...

At some point yesterday, I received an odd message on my Xbox One console while starting a game: "Disc read error - please check your disc and try again" or something along those lines. Normally, this wouldn't be considered unusual, but for those of you
who know me, all of the games that I own are digital downloads (as in I don't own any discs).

What are some other odd experiences you've had with your Xbox One console, Xbox Live, or its games and apps? Please share your funny, odd, and/or interesting stories with the rest of us so we can get an idea of the quirkiness that stems from Microsoft's
product.

Can't say that I've had that on the One, but that message has popped up on one of my 360's digital games. I was puzzled by the situation as to how or why that would happen. Thankfully it has not happened since... rather odd though.

 

Saying "Xbox go to Internet Explorer" but launched Project Spark....

In 2001 (a space odyssey),i remember that how HAL acted and started going "crazy"....

 

Funniest thing that's happened to me was saying Xbox Record That but being referred to something else, which inevitably caused me to lose the race. That's what you get for trying to brag lol.

 

i had the exact same as you GG when trying to launch Guacamelee, but then i tried again and it worked fine

 

@Cloud - yeah I had similar. I was chatting to my bro while play COD - and I mentioned I had tried Xbox Fitness....not sure how I exactly mentioned it, but the X1 promptly started up Xbox Fitness....and killed the game!! Doh!

 

That's Clouds excuse, he was probably trying to round the track the wrong way, he believes there's a destruction derby mode in Forza....

 

It's clearly just a glitch. No big deal

Same here and with the same game.

 

Allot of Black Screens and freeze ups, very random

 

My Kinect broke, other then that everything's been great and a smooth experience!

 

I wish I took a pic of it or at least seen it again, but one time I had an error and the message I received made me LOL literally. It said...

"Something went terribly wrong"

I just found that phrase so hilarious.

One other funny message I see on Smartglass when you compare apps that have no achievements with someone it says " this game/app has no achievements, so sad" I giggled at that.

 

Also, sometimes before I burb I'll say " Xbox go to" & then let it rip & see where it takes me.
