Hello Microsoft,

I recently bought a prepaid 12 month subscription code, but when I try to redeem it, I get a message saying that I have to change my language region or go to microsoft.com/redeem. When I do the latter and redeem the code there, I simply get the message: something
went wrong. I repeatedly tried to redeem the code, but failed every time. Help!

I tried to log in to my dow 2 game today but I needed to enter my password. I then enter in the password many times but it did not work. I was think to myself WTH was going on. Then I logged in to my live account but it needed to be verified to my gmail
account... so I didn't remember my gmail account password. I decided to use my hotmail account. When I went to change it I didn't change @live to @hotmail.com. Now I have lost game Xbox live gaming account...

WHAT CAN I DO TO GET MY ACCOUNT BACK?

I'm starting to hate all the hoops I have to go through. I'm thinking about leaving live for good...

Hi there,

since the error is mentioning to change the language, please try the following if you have an Xbox One console. Make sure your console is set to the correct region and language.

If this is on a 360 please double check your account region via
https://live.xbox.com/Account/BillingAccountInformation and make sure it is the correct one.

After I visited this forum, I also went around looking and asking others. I found a source (the place I bought the prepaid card) that claimed there currently was a bug with Xbox that prevented the addition of a new subscription before the old one was expired.
They said I should wait for 24 hours after it should expire and I did. I subsequently checked my language region and it is the correct one. I mentioned this to the seller and they said the code should work worldwide. I even tried changing my language region
via the site to see if that worked, but every time it said: oops, something went wrong. On my Xbox one, I still get the language error, but now the page to redeem codes on the site load infinitely without changing or progressing. I also checked all my billing
information and things like due payments, but nothing out of the ordinary was found.

Are you able to try entering the code on the console? Press the Guide button on the controller then scroll left and choose Redeem Code. If you get an 8 digit error code post it here.

help me with the problem that i am having with the Xbox store many of there games are cheaper at the stores in your state than the Xbox store so don't buy from the xbox store you will save money get the games cheaper at many stores indoor area
