Redeeming code for XBOX Live Gold - I get the following error

I bought my xbox one about a two weeks ago and had no issue redeeming my trial xbox live as well as HALO Master Chief code, however the BEST BUY card I purshased for Xbox live Gold keep providing me the same error " Something went wrong".
I have opened a case up with the live chat, however nothing has came up for me in 15mins even though I have a 6min wait. What gives? What should I do? Really not looking forward to calling Microsoft Support HOTLINE and enjoy then next best thing "Your
avg hold time is "x!" ", boo that.

I tried to log in to my dow 2 game today but I needed to enter my password. I then enter in the password many times but it did not work. I was think to myself WTH was going on. Then I logged in to my live account but it needed to be verified to my gmail
account... so I didn't remember my gmail account password. I decided to use my hotmail account. When I went to change it I didn't change @live to @hotmail.com. Now I have lost game Xbox live gaming account...

WHAT CAN I DO TO GET MY ACCOUNT BACK?

I'm starting to hate all the hoops I have to go through. I'm thinking about leaving live for good...

 

Still nothing from Xbox chat, forums or from tweet @XboxSupport . If only I could the idea of a redeem giftcard for Xbox live would work. Very frustrating.

 

Sorry to hear it. Have you tried to redeem the code both on the console and on the website here at the following link:

account.xbox.com/.../RedeemCode

If you received any type of error code when trying to redeem on the console please post it here so we can help out as well.

In the meantime you could check with Best Buy to see if it's possible that the code was not verified at there end. To do this take the card back with the receipt and ask them to verify the code on their end.

Another question is why doesn't Xbox chat work "Your chat request has been received, your estimated wait time is less than 6 minutes" I have been looking at this since I started this forum.

 

I have tried to pay with money now and I get the same error message "Something went wrong". WTF m8.

That code usually means your account has been blocked from making purchases. Go to
Sign in to your Microsoft account to make sure all of your billing information is correct. Then you'll need to contact support directly and speak to billing in order for them to help you get it sorted
out. Phone support would be best.
