"Something went wrong..." update fail solution!

Hello everyone!

A lot of people having problems with updating Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare and getting the message that says "Something went wrong..." etc..

Solution:

To solve this problem, go to Settings > System > Console info & updates and update your console to the latest operation system version.

If there is is no update available or the updatde didn't solve the problem please contact with:

Something went wrong

I tried to log in to my dow 2 game today but I needed to enter my password. I then enter in the password many times but it did not work. I was think to myself WTH was going on. Then I logged in to my live account but it needed to be verified to my gmail
account... so I didn't remember my gmail account password. I decided to use my hotmail account. When I went to change it I didn't change @live to @hotmail.com. Now I have lost game Xbox live gaming account...

WHAT CAN I DO TO GET MY ACCOUNT BACK?

I'm starting to hate all the hoops I have to go through. I'm thinking about leaving live for good...

Wanted to add : i am getting an error code when it fails to update or reset with the message on top being -SOMETHING WENT WRONG. .with error code E101 00000503 8007045D

Yeah. It fails at 1 percent. Just says something went wrong.

You said you restarted your console, have you done a hard shutdown? Try holding in the main button for 20 seconds or so and that should do a hard shutdown. And/or try unplugging the console altogether. I hope that helps!

Well for no apparent reason it actually worked after the thirtieth time I told it to restart.

So I guess the issue is resolved.
