"Something went wrong Sorry about that. Please try again later." when trying to redeem Xbox ...

I'm trying to redeem a prepaid 12 month Xbox Live Gold subscription and a 12 month EA Access subscription. When i enter the code at xbox.com I get this: "Something went wrong Sorry about that. Please try again later." I also get XBOS1005 code at the bottom
of the page.

I've tried to redeem it on the Xbox itself. I get the following: "An unexpected error has ocurred. The error has been recorded and Microsoft will work to fix the issue. Please try again later".

How do I fix this ?

Hey there yoanaidarov!

Does the region of your account match your physical location? Cross-region accounts aren't supported and may be causing redemption errors like what you're experiencing. Let us know

I bought a 12 month code, got charged twice and called for help on Friday, the double charge was refunded and I was given a pre paid code which when I put it in it says Something went wrong. Please try your purchase again in a few minutes. I've called support
4 times now and it is now Tuesday and I still can't redeem the code I got from Microsoft themselves nor can anyone tell me how this happened. I now have to wait ANOTHER 5-6 days for another resolution even though as far as they can tell, nothing is wrong with
my account. Extremely frustrating!!!

That was my mistake. By registering confuses one letter. I pointed U.S. instead of the UK.
