Something went wrong (error 0x800706fa)

So today I tired to load up GTA5 but soon as I opened the game it would close with the error message GTA5 is digital so I do not want to uninstall it as I can only do 13Mbps down but all other digital games all work is there some way to fix this?

I sent the report/feedback via the feedback app.

Edit: because I have to say I am not dumb I soft restarted I hard restarted plus all the other "magic stuff" forums are the last thing I do when I have nothing left to try.

Sorry to hear. You still have the options to take the console to a Microsoft store as stated above to see if they are able to perform the offline update for you. You can also check out your out of warranty options for repair here :

Greetings friends,

So i tried to load up my xbox one elite (the 1st run not the xbox one s) and i got the "Something went wrong" error. In the trouble shooting menu, I tried to factory restart.

my xbox cycles power but ends up loading back to the trouble shooting menu.

i tired downloading the update to a usb stick that is in the correct format and plugged into the usb ports in the back. i started to the the system up to the trouble shooting menu and the "offline usb update" option is unavailable option.

i got it used from gamestop but if the extended warranty is over, what other options do i have? will i be worth my time to bring it to a Microsoft store?

There was an issue the other day with Xbox servers, it could be ok now, if not try

support.xbox.com/.../power-cycle-console

 

Please tell me how to resolve this issue
