    hi, to who ever is reading this. This message is simply a warning to loyal xbox customers. If you have a payment pass due xbox does not allow you to manually turn off auto renewal your self (maybe they just want you to be in major debt, I have no idea) instead
    you will have to call and hopefully contact someone who speaks English an they can do it for you. But my point to this is if you can't make the payment (hence the past due notification) they will still continue to charge you each month even though that payment
    is still pending. And for some reason a pending payment takes away my right to turn off auto renew my self. Maybe it's just a glitch they need to fix, you know a "accident". Either way I have lost much interest in Xbox due to these troubles and I'm sure I'm
    not the only one to experience these issues. Never forget auto renewal is automatically activated when you sign up for gold!!!! You think they would slap you in the face with that information as soon as you sign up, but no they rather try and be sneaky about

    you can turn it off in your account settings via your console or this website

    You can also.turn it off via chat or phone

    And no if you do not turn off autorenewal you cannot continue to use your account online you do realize that you are only suspended after 20 days right meaning you are at least 80% into the month.if monthly

    It's not before the payment. Period it's after you signed a contract to renew

    As with all contracts and subscriptions it is on you to cancel before the billing period

    Suspensions are after the fact

  5. can you even read? You literally have not addressed any of the issues I have complained about? Except the one "can't turn off auto renew" and your answer has been the same " go online, go to subscriptions and billing" blah blah blah. Yeah thanks I tried
    that a hundred and one times and the only way I was finally able to resolve it was to call and even then it was difficult. You really suck at your job, sorry.

  6. most subscriptions also don't have a 60 dollar a year option either. The renewal is designed to prey on those who forget plain and simple. If that wasn't the case it would have been fixed or taking out all together, over the 1000 and 1000 of complaints about
    how much of a inconvenience it is.

    no most.people.use the year to year because it's cheaper then month to month

    Most gaming services charge 60 bucks a year I donno where you been looking because you aint looking hard enough

    Psn is 60 by default in some regions

    Xbox live you get free games as there is only two services that have free monthly games

    Psn and Xbox so I'm not sure where you are comparing and both are about the same price

    At least with Xbox you get more free monthly games that you actually keep

    If you can't turn off autorenewal yourself you must fix your browser issue yourself

    I pay yearly 43 bucks sometimes 39 a year you aint shopping correctly that's when you buy dashboard deals and use combinations of prepaid discounted cards etc

    I never pay the full 60

    I stack my membership so I don't have to worry for 3 years when it's cheap which is the max

    Protips

    Watch the dashboard promotions you can stack up to 3 years anything more then that will be lost credit

    Watch your local etailer like Amazon or ebgames for discounted prices there is also cheap cd.keys but make sure you watch what type of codes on some 3rd party sites there is a couple dangerous ones I only use reputable ones

    I bought 3 yearly memberships prepaid codes at 43 bucks and stacked them onto my account the third one I had to wait a couple months before I could apply just don't do it often incase discontinuation

    Fyi most people use renewable.subscriptions

    As they rarely want to run outside for a new card

    Totally agree, HappyBunny11746 - the Billing info is so hidden by default that it is plainly obvious that Microsoft are ensuring they get subscription payments in a very sneaky way. I have just been emailed by my child, saying that he has received an INVOICE from
    Microsoft and has not bought anything. His account is set up as a CHILD account and yet they send invoices to his personal email! It's so obviously a tactic to hide this information from the bill payer.

    So I find the only way to change the email address for these invoices, is to get his account password, log in as him and change the default payment options. YES! There are default payment options on a CHILD account.

    Then I'm looking at why he got billed - it was for the auto-renewal of XBox live. I can see in my account that it will auto-renew the subscription every month, using MY Paypal account... but I cannot turn it off! I get this message:

    So to change subscription and billing I have to log into my CHILD'S account? Incredible..

    If you want an easier interface you use the console

    Subscription cancellation can be found by loging into the said account and account settings then subscription status

  12. In my opinion, it is best to just get those prepaid Gold cards. I've been using those for years. You just enter a code, and your account is active for the amount of months it says on the card.

    With that, there's no worry about Microsoft potentially mishandling your credit card, or having the need to call up customer service to clarify/dispute charges. I go prepaid specifically to avoid that stuff.

    If you still prefer the credit card route, always verify if your subscriptions are set up to auto-renew or not. Your subscriptions can always be managed here: http://account.microsoft.com/services

    Are you a complete moron? It's not billing information? Then a subscription is not BILLED? The billing (which, to explain to an idiot, is a payment for a SUBSCRIPTION) is automatic due to the subscription. Ok, so if you haven't got the console anymore, right,
    you can't use the console can you? And you haven't got the console so you want to cancel the subscription, right. So to do that, as seen in my screenshot for the hard of understanding, you go to PAYMENTS AND BILLING in the CHILD's Account. Jeez. I'm arguing
    with an internet ****, what am I doing. You carry on thinking you're a clever person when you're clearly just like all those moronic youtube commenters. ie. thick as.

    Don't you get it?

    When you are suspended for payment info they tried to take out the money period

    That's not in dispute what you don't get it the basics

    When. You don't pay you have upto 20days to pay if the payment option. Fails

    Not day 1

    If you do not pay within the 20days you are suspended

    So you are in default with at least a month owing

    That's how Xbox billing works

    Along with Sony billing etc

    You have a grace period

    So instead of being snarky read what you are being told as it is the correct indo

    It doesn't matter if you paid or not You owe ms

    When you are suspended for payment info

    Had you turned it off before the billing period you would've reverted to silver

    And NOT be suspended

    You do realize that debts needs to be paid correct ?

    If you didn't want tobe suspended you should be canceled before the billing period

    After suspension. You must settle your debts
