Something stops me from downloading/updating games

ok so I have been living in a college dorm for a while now, I have contacted support so many times they do nothing but ask the same questions they wont tell me what the possible precise problems, they just run down the typical questions. The real issue is
that I can't physically do anything to the router/ modem, I don't even know what the dorm uses the IT people wont tell me anything. Ok so I'm over being *** about not being able to play games so now I just want to know the possible problems, i just want some
*** answers that no one will give me or on the internet, the Microsoft website support doesn't offer anything.

now the actual problem, my Xbox one is connected to the internet, no restrictions on Nat, other than not being able to fully download games and update them my connection is flawless.

what i mean by not fully downloading/updating games is that i can fully install games but i can get any game update, only updates NOT INSTALLATIONS JUST UPDATES for example the destiny taken king UPDATE, the reason i stress this is because some how support
didn't understand the difference between and update and a an installation. I know that this seems like a weird problem that's what i want to know, why and what is stopping my Xbox from UPDATING games. Everything on the internet connection to live is flawless.
THIS IS PISSING ME OFF THAT i can't figure out what is going on. I haven't found anyone else with this problem someone please help.

Forza 5 will not start up

It may have need an update, I have seen my HDD say it is 100% full when it wasn't, it stops games from updating. Reboot the console and try again, that worked for me.

max payne game update

tried something else, just tried downloading from market place and it basically does the same thing, gets to about 1% and then stops all together..

Sorry to hear it. 9 times out of 10 issues with online services experienced in a college/university dorm are caused by the internet service provided by the college/university. Usually through restrictions in place by the IT team. Head on down to their
office and explain the situation to them, they should be able to work with you to solve the problem.

Yea I've already done that they wont help haha I just wanted some clarity as to why it would be happening it just didn't make sense for games to download but not be able to update.

now when I got to the games and apps section the updates option is trying to load something and that's preventing me from doing anything. and the apps that try to start downloading get forced to stop.

This "update" has caused me nothing but trouble. From locking me out of the store to stopping me from downloading certain games.

Strangely though not downloading the "update" effects nothing and everything is working fine for me without it.

StevieGee911 there was a day one update to the game. They patched the game plus add a achievement and reduesed some GS on a few achievements. I hope clear up the update part. But the thing is. You never will stop the update from downloading at this time
from a digital download. Only way is to stop from downloading the update. If you where doing it from disk.
