Something inside my xbox one exploded?

It wasn't a large explosion per se, but it had been on for several hours prior, and suddenly there was a loud-ish bang from the xbox and it shut off. The power cord works fine, but the xbox is completely unresponsive. When I felt it was moderately warm at
most, but could it have overheated? Faulty manufacturing? I bought it black Friday last year, so I'm probably just too late to send it in with the warranty; but I wanted to put this out there in case this has happened to anyone else.

question about a broken xbox

Good morning,

A few weeks ago my xbox one broke. Something with the power supply inside the the xbox was broke. Since it was out of warranty I decided to buy a new one.

The only problem is that when my xbox broke it was on with a game inside. Since the xbox will not power on now, how do I get the game out? I know I could smash it open, but I don't want to damage the disc. Anyone have any ideas how to get it out?

Strange, perhaps a manufacturing defect. It would be cool if the next Xbox could have the option to change the color of the light. It's a real hindrance when you buy something for a loved one and the product is defective due to sloppy manufacturing. I still remember when my dad bought me one of my first games for the original Xbox and there was no disc inside.

 

Have you tried unpugging the power brick from the wall outlet for 5 minutes to allow the surge protector on the power brick to reset just in case it was this you heard.
