  1. Something happened to my xbox controller

As usual, I woke up in the morning and after dinner I decided to switch on the Xbox. Yesterday everything was great, I played a game and turned it off. But today when I turned on the Xbox, I was hearing a buzzing sound from the remote control that was plugged into the cable. And the vibration and xbox logo light, wasnt working. I decided to change cable to learn where is the problem from. And nothing changed, it still buzzing, and not working properly(just buttons and joystick working as well). and after that i decided to try my chance with battery. and it has the same issue but I smelled a burning smell. i immediately removed the battery. and i give it a one more chance to work with cable. and when i put it on, like 6 7 second after, its became what it supposed to be. should i continue use it? why did it happen?

    :)

Something happened to my xbox controller

    Hello!

Hope you are well. I'll be glad to assist you.

I'm sorry you're experiencing these issues.

Based on what you described, it's very likely that your controller has suffered some kind of short circuit or internal hardware failure. It's impossible to determine the cause of the problem; this must be done by a technician who can inspect the controller.

If your controller is within the warranty period, you can apply from the following website.

    https://support.xbox.com/forms/request-controll...

Although it seemed to recover after a few seconds of being connected to the cable, the fact that it emitted a burning smell and didn't function properly before that is a red flag. I recommend that you stop using the controller immediately, as continued use could pose a safety risk (electrical hazard or further internal damage). Avoid reconnecting it, especially with the battery, until it has been inspected. That burning smell usually indicates something has overheated or melted inside.

I hope the information has been clear, I will be attentive to any questions you may have.

    Best Regards.

Something's happening with my Xbox Series X controller

    Hello again Jason K,

Something's happening with my Xbox Series X controller

Hi Jason K, my name is Courtney and I would be happy to help.

If there is no way to reset it or restore it from the factory, I think that your control may have some internal failure, so I would recommend checking if you have an active warranty so that you can send it for repair for free. In case you do not have a warranty, you would have to pay a fee for its repair, to do this you can access the following link and register your device:

    https://account.microsoft.com/devices

There you can register your device, see if you have an active warranty and request a repair. I hope that all this information provided can be of great help to you.

If you have any other questions, let me know, I will be happy to continue helping you.

    Best regards,
    Courtney.

Something strange happened on my Xbox

We aren't talking about a gamertag name change. When you join a free account to xbox live, when it hadn't been before, you don't neccessarily keep the same tag name. The system gives suggestions, and a lot of times those suggestions are random and have nothing
related to the free name you started with offline.

The possible situation presented to the OP as a possibility is that the girlfriend's account was joined to live by someone, girlfriend or otherwise, and it generated this new name in the process.

    Hello there,

As far as I know after making an Xbox live account it gives a random name, you could change that for free at first (free gamertag change for only once).

If it has already been 30 days since you made your account then you wont get a free change.

    Good luck!
