Someone used my email to create an Xbox account.

Now I don't even own an xbox personally but someone managed to create an xbox account with my email. Now I tried to use the free username change in hope that It would work but it didn't work because it's already been used. I want to delete the xbox account
all the way so I can make one the way I want, any solutions?

Did you perhaps use that email to create a Zune account? If not maybe someone randomly used your email to set up their account. Very odd.

 

Account Alias

Hoping someone can help me out. When I signed up for xbox live I used my work email to create my account. Several months ago I created a personal Gmail account so I could stop using my work email. I designated my personal Gmail account primary alias and
removed my work email from my account. But I still get all my emails from xbox on my work email. Also whenever I have to verify my account I have to use my work email. But I removed from my account. Can anyone tell me what to do?

 

If there was a way possible to completely wipe the whole account including achievements and everything please tell me because that is what I would like to do.

I am sorry you're experiencing this issue, however since it was under your email you can
reset the password and you can then login and

Deactivate the Microsoft/Xbox Account. If you're still experiencing issue I would contact
Xbox Support at (800) 469-9269.

Note: Make sure not to be logged into your current profile (brandyndavies) unless that's the account that you want deactivated.

 

This is the account I want deactivated but will I be able to recreate a new one from scratch under this email if I deactivate it?

For example if I deactivate it will I be allowed to create a brand new one after on the same email with the ability to change the name to something better? Also losing all my achievements whoever used my email got?

 

Yes, you'll be able to recreate a account with the same email.

When you tap or click the Mark account for closure button,t 60 days will pass before permanently deleting your Microsoft account, in case you change your mind or need to access something associated with the account before it’s
gone forever.

During the waiting period, your account is marked for closure but it still exists. If you want to reopen your Microsoft account, just sign in again within that 60 days. We’ll cancel the account closure, and everything will be as you left it.
