Someone PLEASE talk me out of switching to Playstation..

I am losing it.... been with Xbox ever since the first gen console. Lately, had nothing but issues with xbox in general.

Console is slow, Xbox live is CONSTANTLY having issues, no NEW games, bunch of indie junk, and re-released games (PS does the same too), no exclusives to look forward to, just Halo... The UI of the console is so slow and clustered. They change the layout
every few months it seems. Xbox Music app HAS to stay snapped or else the music will not play. Whats that about?????? Would be nice to have my full screen while I'm racing WHILE I listen to music. Nat seems to always be moderate not matter how many times
i power cycle everything or open what ever ports need to be open. Why is this not a plug and play??? why should I have to go into my router settings and change stuff to get a great gaming experience? I download Minecraft, go to play when Xbox live was down.....
and it says I have to be ONLINE to play a game that I DOWNLOADED????? I love Halo, and I have always been a HUGE fan of microsoft products.. but im losing my patience. so PLEASE someone tell me why its worth sticking around....... I could really use some
input. Most of my friends have gone and switched. Im just about to cross that line.....

Xbox Live Down again

This is ridiculous. I can't sign in and play. I'm getting real frustrated. Please fix the problem before I think about switching to Playstation. Please don't let me do it.

 

Control Customization Options..

Can someone please help me out and find out if switching the control options in the dashboard works for getting southpaw thumbsticks in this game?

 

I actually found opposite most are coming from playstation too xbox and recent figures seem too back this up . All I hear is horror story about psn . But at end of day you do what suits you just think you will regret the switch

 

who ever you switch to, there will always be probs at some time. yes i agree xbox live can be and has been sooo frustrating... but you will miss it if you switch.

 

I switched, and the only thing I miss is the party chat. other than that, everything for me on the ps3 is the same as my 360. I had the ps3 first actually, then when I got my 360 I was in love with the pary chat and all the apps, but I don't even use the
apps, and I prefer youtube on the ps3 anyway. and when I watch movies, its always on the ps3. the only thing the ps3 lacks is party chat, because even the texting part is better. and ur messages don't get deleted. I guess I liked the xbox so much because it
was just something different from what I was use to, but unfortunately, I have more issues with my 360 than any of the 3 ps3s I have running daily in my home.

soon I will move on to new gen console, and will be getting both consoles. from what I know though, getting an xbox one is taking a big risk of wasting 500 buck where the ps4 I haven't heard of a common issue. the xbox one has a few. the disc drive makes
noises, the power supply wont turn on, the controller drifts up by itself, it wont read the discs, it wont play some single play games like nba 2k15 offline, some console tend to mess up in less than a year, once your saved game from the xbox cloud is deleted,
you cant get it back, I can go on.

the only thing I heard about the ps4 was something about the storage. other than that, everyone I know says the ps4 is the next gen system to get. im just a big fan of halo, which was the primary reason of getting my 360 in the first place. ill probably
get the xbox one when they come out with a different version, one that is more stable, and will actually last as long as Microsoft wanted it to, 10 years powered on 24/7. that was the goal. I have faith they will make it happen, cause the 360 is in its prime
right now, but its not happening right now.

 

I regret talking a person out of our beloved xbox consoles, but PC gaming gives more freedom to the user and there is a lower chance of hackers taking down your multiplayer capabilities as many companies have their own sets of servers or in some cases, you
can host games. I have also noticed a dramatically lower price for games on PC based gaming medias such as Origin and Steam. The only downside to this option is extra money being spent for a good gaming PC, but once that is done it can be much faster than
a console and multitask much better.

DO NOT switch to PSN:

- Lizard Squad seems to be specifically targeting sony now

- Subscription costs are about the same

- you would need to buy another console

- reselling your console and accessories will be either tiring or gamestop will probably give you close to nothing like they always do

- PC is a better choice for gamers

It All Comes Down to Preference

I have been an Xbox live gold member for a while now and Microsoft has always taken care of their Gold Members the best they can. the Xbox one is a gaming console, but also a medium for streaming movies, listening to music, social experiences, and customization.
Playstation seems to be mostly based on gaming and PSN does have better titles for free each month or so. Nintendo is either for the elderly wanting the bowl or for the shrinking fan-base of Super Smash bros (I like this one), pokemon, Lengend of Zelda, and
of course Mario.

If all else fails and you are looking for a competitive price on PC gaming rigs, Dell's Alienware franchise has made the Alienware Alpha which is currently $549. This seems like much, but that is dirt cheap for anything with an Alienware label on it. I still
believe that microsoft is somehow going to flawlessly pull off Windows 10 and save the day soooo......
