    Someone Needs to let Microsoft Know


    I hope people will take this with a grain of salt but I think it's about time that someone explain the issues with the entire move since the Xbox One a few years ago.

    1. The software has been buggy and near beta quality since I purchased the original Xbox One years ago. This has continued until the Xbox One X which I currently own. If it isn't something randomly crashing then it is something that is not connecting properly
    (like the Store app, XBL, or something else that just randomly goes down). You spend an entire day trying to figure out what's going on, making sure your network isn't in error, making sure something isn't wrong on your end, and realize: it's Microsoft who
    is broken. Contacting Microsoft support or going on a Microsoft forum is worthless as well.

    2. Restarting a console is not the cure-all. I hate to say it "independent somethings" or whatever caste you fall under in these forums, but, if something is working fine for a month, then stops, and nothing was changed on your side.. then... that only leaves
    one thing. Either Microsoft pushed out another rushed buggy update or their servers or networked died (again). Of course this is never admitted. They will go above and beyond to instruct you to completely wipe your Xbox just to start from scratch because
    that's the easy way to get you off the phone and deal with the next person calling the $2/hr call center who is also asking the same question. Customers are victims of the call center yes / no tree of doom.

    3. It's slow. Whatever they are doing with the Xbox version of windows: it is ridiculously slow. Why am I going to a menu that shows the price of a game, gives you the option to buy it, then opens a buggy store app that takes like 5 minutes with a circle
    to load, then doesn't connect to the store? That has been my day today dealing with this Xbox One X. It only took about 3 generations but Microsoft is finally putting an SSD in it. Given the power of the Xbox One X you'd expect it to be crisp and have some
    snap to it. It does not. It almost feels like no consideration was made on making it efficient. Just slap some web based apps on there and sell it.

    4. It was never the media box top it was claimed to be. I thought this was an interesting selling point but it never panned out. Getting rid of the Kinect (which controls the IR) was another awesome idea. Who needs IR when your Xbox One X cannot properly
    connect to a Bose system?

    I tried to stick with MS through this [long] transition since the Xbox One was released and I even expected there to be some bugs as they shifted to something new. It's been a few years now and I think I'm about to write off the thousands of dollars I have
    probably wasted on the ecosystem and just move on to a Playstation 5 for the next gen. This last day today where I was stuck there dealing with a Store app, which you would think would have the highest priority considering how important it is towards revenue,
    crashing or not downloading apps... I think I'm done. This will be my last Xbox.

    You might want to look at finding some new developers Microsoft. The Xbox One has been a mess from the beginning and the only reason you have anybody using it is because they were stuck like me and didn't want to lose the money they spent on games etc. It's
    a shame because the console had so much potential and overall has failed to deliver. The Xbox One is pretty much holding onto its fanbase because it has one. If anybody ever asks me which one next time I definitely will not lean in this direction. Hopefully
    I can recoup some of my money on eBay.

    I can see where this can be quite frustrating but having patience especially with what is going on globally, that is the best possible option there is for us as gamers. Spreading positivity throughout the community.

    Sorry to hear you're having problems. I can't say I have experienced any of the things you're describing though. Please don't have a go at us though if you're hot having a great time - we're only trying to help.

    Which software are you referring to.

    I have a hard time finding any issue with the Xbox setup.

    Runs extremely smooth for me. I only have issues with certain games because of the devs.

    You guys had PLENTY of time, and I agree with the guy who made this. Like right now, problem with live and some apps...says movies and tv is fine, but when I play a movie, says error.
