Someone modified my gamerscore against my will :(

I was playing black ops 2 on my xbox one And a random modder online modified my gamerscore against my will and unlocking achivments is what i love to do but it makes me kinda mad when someone gives me achivments that i have not earned if there is any way
i could get this sorted out it would make my day

Yes, many people. Check out the suspension forums. Modding is against the rules. In my opinion, they're not strict enough. People modding gamerscore only get their gamerscore reset, they should be banned as well in my opinion.

As for the first offense remark. How is MS supposed to know if it is a first or second offense? Should they unmod your profile? Once your profile is modified, it's modified.

By the way, they're called the XBL Policy Enforcement Team. Nobody calls them police.

 

Unfortunately, once they're there, they can't be removed unless the enforcement team issues a gamerscore reset which would reset all of your achievements, not just the modded ones, and you would not be able to re-earn those achievements on your account.

 

Would i get banned for it down the line or no because ive had this happen before with other accounts back in the 360 days and i got banned for someone else doing this im worried about this because i have been slowly re buying my games digitaly and have
about 122 games and loosing the account would leave me out of all of them this happend last summer aswel i just want to know if it will bite me back later because i had nothing to do with it

 

No one can tell you 100%. That would be up to the enforcement team.

 

Alright well heres to hopeing because i have had things like this happen before on other platforms so id say im pretty paranoid also i have never bought this much digital content so thats not helping with it i guess...well i guess thanks for the reply

to report the user on Xbox, that is the best way to let the Enforcement Team know about them.

 

Thats the thing this happend last summer and i dont remember who did it i only brought it up now because i have been buying a lot of games digitaly that i want to enjoy years down the line so im extra worried that this will effect me later and like i said
i have had this happen to multiple accounts with this situation its pretty messed up that i have to worry about playing backcompat titles because stuff like this mght happen and really it should be the fault of the company that owns the game because they dont
update the anti cheat in these games :/

That should make it a lot harder for somebody to try to access and modify your account without your permission or knowledge.

 

No they did not get access to my account they where in game with a mod menu messing things up for everyone but thank you everyone that has replied to this post and hopefully i wont have to worry about this down the line ^~^

 

Hi, as stated you would need to contact enforcement, They can see all sorts of stuff to verify it wasn't done through your console or by you. Only they have the power to help here though, So be prepared to wait awhile and hopefully you will get the outcome
you want

 

I believe in every 360 call of duty games there is a high risk that you'll join a modded match and get all your achievements unlocked so my advice play matches with friends so nobody can mess with your gamerscore

Like the first person said they cant re lock achivments i think ill just deal with it i guess its not that big of a deal overall But it is still unfortunate :/ ..oh and how do i lock this post i think i got the closesure i wanted (and happy holidays
