Someone might be using your account

i'm trying to access my old Xbox account but when i put in the email and password i get the message that someone else might be using the account. the email i used to create the account isn't in service anymore so i am unable to change the password and
i don't know enough of the answers for the account recovery form to work. is there some way that someone at Microsoft can either remove the "someone else might be using your account" status blocking me from accessing my account, or change the email for me?

I have a lot of content on my Xbox Live, connected to my hotmail email account, but Microsoft doesn't solve the problem to release my email, and I'm afraid of losing all content and 9 years conquists that I have on Xbox Live.

How can I change the email of my Gamertag without being able to access my old email?

You can log in to the account and add another email address or phone number and then make that the primary contact info and then change the password that way.

 

As long as you do not have 2 step verification on your account and you know the email and password for the account you can change the security proof on the account.

Keep in mind doing this will lock you out of the account for 30 DAYS until the security proof (where they are sending the verification code) is officially changed. What you would need to do is this:

Sign into your account at account.live.com/addassocid this will pop up wanting to verify the account with the old email there should then be a choice to change the security proof.

AGAIN KEEP IN MIND DOING THIS WILL LOCK YOU OUT OF YOUR ACCOUNT FOR 30 DAYS THERE IS NO WAY TO GET AROUND THIS 30 DAY HOLD IF YOU HAVE ACCESS TO THE EMAIL AND PASSWORD BUT NOT THE SECURITY PROOF.
