Someone logged into my account and tampered with my account

I am almost certain someone has logged into my Xbox profile and tampered with my account. I went onto my recent activity and saw that an unknown IP had logged into my account, causing me to freak out and change everything I am able to change from security
to account preferences. Now, I am certain no one is going to be accessing this account, other than myself, but I am concerned that my account might get reseted or banned. While loading up Halo 3 tonight, I noticed my profile information was changed (that I
didn't change) and more importantly my gamerscore for a couple games were not 0gs (when I was 12, I modded my gamerscore and was reset for it, which I regret doing but I was young and stupid). I deleted my profile and re-downloaded and it changed itself back
to the original gamer score total.

I guess what I am asking is should I be alarmed/worried or am I perfectly safe, since nothing was done by me.

Xbox 360 Issue HELP!

The other day, I was on my Xbox 360 and tried downloading the WWE Network app when my console froze. I restarted the system and logged back into my Xbox Live account and now every time I do log back in, my system freezes on the dashboard. It only does this when I log into my Xbox Live account. If I skip login, I do not have any issues.

Could someone help me please?!

So your saying i log into my account at my mates put my tag as home on his account.
I then log into my account at home and I can play all my games away from home.
And then my mate can play my games at his house on his profile ?
I don't need to be signed in at his house ????

 

Change all the old information amd enable 2 step verify for the email and good to go

I have, I am worried that if the person was modding, since I used to back when I was younger, my account will get reset again or even banned. I put a lot of money on this account.

you do have the option to contact xbox Live support (see link below) through chat or by phone (set up a call back)

so that they can look into your account to confirm whether or not it's been compromised.

The best course of action would be to check out the
enforcement history on that account!The status of any Enforcement actions are recorded there and they get updated regularly.

 

It's possible, but if you do get the account reset, or banned due to something that the previous compromise on the account caused. You can always submit a

Case review to dispute the enforcement action that was created due to that specific previous compromise.

 

I just spoke with someone in support, and he gave me a case number after we talked a bit about the issue, in case anything happens. I also made a document with evidence proving an account breach as well (just in case). Thank you for your response.

I have contacted support. Got a case number for reference in case an enforcement happens. The weird thing is that when I check enforcement history, one of my suspensions is missing but that was the only thing out of the ordinary. I will just have to be more
careful in the future

Just a friendly side note here:

When setting up 2-step verification, please make sure to have at least 2 forms of security set up. That would be 1 email and 1 phone. I usually like to recommend 3 though as a minimum in case the phone number is ever changed. That would be 2 emails and 1
phone.

I am suggesting this because when trying to fill out the
account recovery form, if 2-step verification is set up, then it is not possible to recover the account without the security proofs. It will literally lock out the account until the password is used.

Also, I would not worry too much about the account being suspended. It is good that there is a case to reference as well as a backup showing the account was accessed by someone else.
