    Someone Knows My IP And I Don’t Know Them What So I Do


    I was just playing and all of a sudden someone text me the state and city i live. This is the first time this happen to me and am scared. How can i banned him from xbox live so he doesn’t do it to other people and what should i do? Do I call Microsoft service?
    What should i do? PLEASE HELP ME!!

    Your IP isn't something that you can just block so that nobody knows it, people can very easily find your IP address, and knowing it or even finding it isn't a criminal offense.

    As Smwutches said, report them and block them and that should stop them from being able to communicate with you and joining your games.

    Reporting them won't help. Microsoft has no control over your IP. Best bet is block them then power cycled your modem for a good 30 minutes. This should get you a new ip address. If not and it continues you have to contact your ISP to get a new IP address.

    No reason to panic. This is common information anyone can get from a public IP address; they don't know where you live. These people just want to intimidate you, report them accordingly and the issue will be taken care of.
