Someone is threatening to comm ban me?

I was playing in a match of Overwatch 1v1 when I noticed he started teabagging after every win. I asked him after the match why he did that, and he just started calling me a noob and crap, whatever. I then told him he's an **** and his team must hate having
him on their team, and he threatened to comm ban me for saying "****" and other things i shouldn't have said, but can I really get banned for throwing trash talk like that? Even though he instigated it? I never had trouble with this before and it seems he
likes to screw with people like this for fun.

comms ban...

i get a comm ban after being sent a message threatening to get me banned from a game (elite dangerous) so i have to buy it again, i send message back making fun of his opening message and. within 5 seconds get a comm ban... who was this guy bill gates.
it was him that started the conversation, with a threat i might add. and didn't like the responce... diddums

Are Microsofts ridiculous banning practices starting to harm the Xbox?

Well I consulted with multiple people who own Xbones and the consensus was you literally get banned for anything. Tell someone to fuck off? Two weeks comms ban. Friend uses your system for ten minutes tells someone to shut the fuck up? Two weeks comms ban. I've had multiple people tell me this, and this alone deterred me frm purchasing an Xbone.

Yes. You can receive a suspension/ban even though you didn't start it. You're still violating the code of conduct for saying things you shouldn't say over Live. Next time that happens, it's best to ignore them.

Then why is another player able to tell me I'm dog s-word puddle water and I report them and they not get even comm banned but if I call someone an a hole I get permabanned? I mean just last night someone threatened to dox me, harass all my friends list, social media, threaten my family and loved ones and I report them and nothing. Nothing happens. So obviously there is a list of smack talk that seems to be allowed.

Hello i was banned for hassment abuse & threatening. but i did not i have a communication banned. so how could i harass someone when i dont have the feature to message people. this report happened 3 days after my communication banned. i wasnt online until
3 hours after i got notified for harassment abuse. plus theres no evidence of me abusing or threatening anyone. xbox enforcement team please review my case again

the same happened to me, i was comm banned and then a week later i was banned for harassment, abuse and threats makes no sense

Its sad Microsoft has no idea what a profane word is. Nor do they know what abusive or threatening remarks are. You can't ban someone for calling a pathetically worthless child that when they threaten to shut your internet off and I get banned for calling
someone pathetic? And the other kid who is a booter gets no bans? Tell me how that makes sense
