    Someone has been actively trying to sign in over and over to my account, but how come I get...


    I recently noticed a charge from Microsoft on my bank account that I didn't make. So panicking, I go through all the processes of changing my passwords, 2FA, etc.

    I noticed that in the Security center, you can view log in attempts made to your account. It turns out someone (or multiple people) were really going ham trying to access my account, and then must have eventually succeeded.

    My question is, why didn't Microsoft notify my as my account was being attacked? It even lists that the attacks came from outside of the US! I don't have one email warning me about someone from outside the country trying to access my account over and over again. So what gives?

    Perm ban for no reason

    No one has my account but when I went to check the activity someone has been trying to get into my account and I think they got into my account as I’ve got perm ban and have no clue how it happened..

    My Gamertag has been active for over 4 years, the child account's Gamertag has been active for well over three years and it's been downloaded to my console for about a year. Is that information pointing out something else that I'm not catching?

    How do I claim a gamertag that I know has been inactive for 5 years and meets all the prerequisites for it to be reset.

    There's a gamertag that I want however it has been taken but I know that it hasn't been active for over the five year mark so how would I go about aquiring it?
    As Tezzerrific states theres no way to truly know if its an inactive account. If the person simply signs into the Microsoft account associated with their Xbox account periodically to check their email for instance then that would be enough to consider the account "active" and make it so their gamertag is never released.

    2 and a half weeks and 4 support phone calls later, which claimed "I would have an answer within 24 hours" and yet my problem still persists

    I have not been suspended or banned??? They just keep locking my account and I have to get a code sent to a phone every time. How is that getting banned? I have called Xbox support 4 times over the last 2 and a half weeks and they claim it has been passed
    to someone else. And that I would hear from them within 3 days. That was over 2 weeks ago. If my account was banned I wouldn't be able to log into it at all. So how am I banned? I am not
