    Someone else was controlling my xbox one x!


    I was playing fortnite earlier today, and all of a sudden my screen changed to another without me pressing anything, so i just thought it was a sticky key, and brushed it off. Then someone started speaking through my account to my friend, when i don't
    even have a mic plugged in and started pressing all sorts of buttons and it scared me. It happened for about 10 minutes and hasnt happened since, forgot to screen record any of it but i was wondering what on earth happened.

    How do you disconnect them from your xbox? Having an issue with someone doing this through the app and want it to stop. How do I make it to where my xbox cannot be connected to?

    Hi Rasta,

    Thanks for coming to the forums. Sorry for the issue you are experiencing. Is it possible someone has the Xbox App on their phone or PC? At one time there was a way to switch screens and such through the smart glass app. Is it possible someone linked another
    controller to the console? For example: if there was a controller linked to your console, then they moved to a different room to play on another console. For a minute until it syncs to the other console it will control yours.

    Any additional information will help us out.
