    Someone else accessing my account


    Apologies if in the wrong section, it did feel this was the most appropriate.

    Within the last week Ive had an email from Microsoft to say someone has tried to access my account. Ive changed my password but should I go to the length to change my Hotmail accounts that's linked to my Xbox account ?

    I'm just a little concerned about it.

    You will have to change you're Password of you're email connected to you're profile and change all the security question.

    Thank you so much! I was searching on my Xbox, and I found an option that will require a password on all other consoles other than the one I'm useing. Hopefully this will work. If not, I will use the download profile option. But will that also erase all
    progress on my games if they are saved to the hardrive of another console? Most of my achievements were earned on my boyfriend's Xbox as well as mine.

    Hi there,

    In addittion to changing you password and security details, take a look at this look to remove any consoles that can remember the password for a account, this should only be your console.

    Best thing to do is re-download it to the console you are using, and change the passwords connected to your WLID aka MS Account. Once it's activly in your possession, it wont be usable elsewhere. One gamertag can't be connected to live in multiple locations.

    Saved games will stay put until the user actually tells the console to delete them. Achievements are tied to the GT rather than saved games so they're fine too. You may lose some if you've earned some offline and not connected to XBL with said account before
    recovering it as you'll be downloading the last record XBL has of your account.
