Someheadsets work - some not. How to fix?

Hey guys.

I own a Xbox One S, the original shipped controller, the elite controller, a chatpad and the headset-adapter.

Also i prefer to play with a (stereo) headset.

For the beginning i was using a jabra headset for mobile phones. But it was pretty uncomfortable.

So i switched to an apple headset. I liked it pretty much, but as in-ear headsets does not sound well at all, i wanted to switch to an over-ear model.

So i borrowed i no-name product and tested it. It sounds well, but the mic does not work. I thought it's just because a cheap piece of junk and is just not supported by any plattworm.

For this i just bought the Logitech UltimateEars 6000.

It does excellent sound but ... the mic does not work again on Xbox !!!

So WHY?! And even more important: how to fix it?!

It works with any phone (android and apple), ipod and even my lenovo laptop, which supported 4-pin headsets.

The xbox shows me ingame, that i headset is connected (usually when there is none, there is no speaker-icon near my gametag, but this time there is one!) but when i talk, it just does nothing.

I'm sorry for asking that, but is your console an original Microsoft product? Has it been modded in any way?

And what about the Games Region? Once I had an issue with my console (NTSC) and a game bought PAL. You could check this too.

Sounds like the disk drive or lens is on it's way out.To be honest i'd return it as you have that option as it may cost more to get it repaired than you paid for it.

 

Hey renegade 2k! It sounds like the Xbox recognizes the headset has a microphone so there may be an issue with the headset itself. I would suggest trying the Xbox
One Stereo Headset or a different headset that you have confirmed with a friend or manufacturer to fully work with the Xbox One. Thanks!

My first thought was also, that the headset is faulty, but it works well with my laptop as well as my android phone and my ipod.

It ssems like only the xbox does not recognize it.

PS: I also trioed the MS Stereo Headset and to be honest it does not sound well. That's why i was looking for a third party product.

 

Hey renegade2k! Did the Stereo Headset work with the same controller? If so, you may want to try a different third party headset to see if it works better with the console. Post back and let me know how it goes!

It's nice you try to help me and i'm really happy about someone trying, but it doesn't help, when you ignore my previous postings and just tell me to buy the Microsoft Stereo Headset.

I know there is an original Microsoft product, i tried it and (to be honest) it just sounds pretty poor!

As already told twice, the Logitech Headset is fully working with other devices as my Android smartphone, my iPod and even my laptop, which supports 4-pin headsets.

I can hear everything and i can talk, so the devices recognize my speech. So the headset is working 100%.

Also my Controller is absolutly allright, as it works with headsets of other brands, like the Apple and the Jabra in-ear-headset for smartphones.

I even tried all accessories, as i own pretty much everything from MS.

I tried connecting the headset directly with the controller, i tried connecting through the chat-adapter and i tried connecting to the chat-pad. But the problem keeps every time the same.

Also i own a really cheap (2$ no-name product made in china) 3-to-4-pin-mic-adapter which can convert every headphones into a headset, which also works with this Logitech headset. But it's not meant to has 2 mics, just as the original isn't recognizet as
it is supposed to be.
