Some xbox games cause my tv to turn off and on constantly

Hi i recently bought a new tv ( sony bravia kd43xf7003 ) and run into an issue where my tv will randomly turn off and back on again while playing certain games. Ive noticed it most playing wolfenstein 2 and today it happened with dead rising 3. Trouble is
when it starts shutting down it will continue to turn off and on until i either turn the xbox off or switch over inputs to tv making it unplayable.

Ive looked for possible solutions online but not found anything that has helped, tried various hdmi leads and swapped inputs, also tried various tv and xbo settings and turning off allow ycc 4;2;2 as people reported problems with that.

Confused about some stuff

I like to know how i can turn my tv off with my XBox One controller and have it become useable to connect it to my desktop cause i'm new with this XBox One cause i just got it 2/24/2017 but i don't know it works to turn the tv off and on and be able to play
my Online PC games with it?

Turning on my Xbox turns my TV OFF!

Odd cause mine only turns the TV on when it's not on, but doesn't turn the tv off. But my HDMI goes to my receiver, then the recievers HDMI goes to the TV and it still somehow manages to turn the tv on when everything is off. But it wont turn on/off the
receiver. It did turn the cable box on and off though. And my receiver doesn't have a Passthrough in it either. Kinda odd really.

Hi! In this case it might be necessary to reach out to Sonys customer support as this sounds like there's most likely an issue with the TVs hardware. If you want to make sure it's not due to the Xbox, you should perform a factory reset: Reset Xbox One Console to Factory Defaults

Unfortunately this would be an issue where you need to speak with Sony in regards to troubleshooting the TV. I don't know of any instances where a video game would be causing the TV to shut off and go back on, the only thing I can think of is if its switching
between standard and HDR mode, but Sony should be able to assist

thanks both for the quick replies, have sent sony support an email and will call them tuesday as they are shut weekends. I thought it had something to do with switching between hdr and standard too and also read people had issues

this with xbox, have had no issues with sky box or blu ray player. Cheers again for the advice

So I think I may have found the cause of this issue for me.

I have my Xbox set to turn my TV on and off with the console, and for some reason it takes a while for the turn on signal to take effect, as in the console is almost booted to the dashboard before it turns on my TV. So I will usually turn my TV on manually.
I have just tried waiting for the Xbox to turn the TV on itself and it has just connected straight to Xbox live with no issues.

So it seems that turning on the TV is interfering with it connecting to Xbox live somehow.

I will see if I can replicate this event and confirm whether or not this actually is the fix, but it seems to be working fine if I let the Xbox turns the TV on itself.

I will also verify if turning off the function for turning the TV on and off will eliminate the problem and report back here.
