    Some updating controller trouble.


    I bought a new headset for my Xbox One so I could upgrade from the one that came with the console. It was from Microsoft, and Xbox official and all that. I took out the headphones and left the box so I could update the controllers later.

    Someone in my household threw out the box, and now I don't have an update cable.

    Is there any way I can obtain the update cable without buying a new headset?

    AA batteries work in controller but battery pack does not.

    Hey SouthGaDawg! Sorry you're having trouble with your controller.

    Have you tried updating your controller through your xbox one?

    Connect your xbox controller to your xbox one system via usb cable, click on:

    Menu button > settings > system settings > update controller

    Thanks for updating your post. Im still having trouble though.

    What remote code are you using for the rng150? I can't seem to get any connection between the xboxone controller and the cable box.

    Some updating controller trouble.

    The controller that has a 3.5mm headphone jack can be updated wirelessly. Other than that any micro USB cable can be used to update the controller.

    sadly as of this moment I am unable because I’m in the process of fixing my computer but that’s a whole other story for a completely different forum. But that did seem the easiest solution to my problem so perhaps I should try and fix my computer first.
    If there is anything else you think I could try please let me know, otherwise thank you for your time and assistance.

    sadly as of this moment I am unable because I’m in the process of fixing my computer but that’s a whole other story for a completely different forum. But that did seem the easiest solution to my problem so perhaps I should try and fix my computer first.

    I took it to my friends and used his computer and it did roughly the same thing. The controller was not always detected, but when it was it still sat frozen at 0%.
