Some Series X bugs I noticed before I could even rejoin the preview program

As the titles says. Setting up my new Series X and before I can rejoin the insider program I've had several bugs.

I went through the initial setup choosing not to use the app. Changed my mind and press B to go back to the start. Opened the app, typed in the code and it told me the code was wrong when it wasn't.

Gave up on the app and my controller wouldn't work. It was still synced but pressing menu (or any other button) didn't work. Had to turn my Xbox off and back on to get it working.


Went through the manual setup and managed to get the app working at the scan QR code section. Console restarted and the controller turned off so I turned it back on. The main menu loaded where it tells you to press A to continue and it didn't work. No buttons on my controller did anything. I'm guessing it's because I turned the controller on before the Xbox told me to? Turned the controller off and back on and it worked.


A friend sent me an Xbox message. Opened the guide, went to the chat tab and it was telling me the message was from 18 hours ago, even though they had only just sent it.


I went into settings to enable a dynamic background and it didn't work. Clicking on it made my screen slightly grey for a second but the background preview screen never appeared. Set my background to a solid colour (it was set to achievement art from my backed up settings), went to the dashboard and I had the blue dynamic background.

Went back into settings and I still can't load the dynamic background option. I was in Skip Ahead on an Xbox One X previously and I had the dynamic background option available to me when it wasn't meant to be. I did set a dynamic background on my Series X (even though it never worked).

Completely restarted my Xbox and I still can't choose a dynamic background.
