    Some Reverse compatibility games not working


    I recently bought three games at the same time for my Xbox Series S, metal gear rising (Xbox 360), far cry instincts (Xbox 360), and mortal shell (x/s). I got a receipt in my email confirming payment for all three games from both Microsoft and from PayPal.

    When I try to launch metal gear or far cry, I am given the "do you own this game" error. I've tried reseting my Xbox, I've factory reset my Xbox. I tried uninstalling the games, but when I tried to reinstall, they weren't on my owned games list, and had to be bought again in the store.

    The games show up on my accounts "purchase history" I am connected to the internet, and this Xbox is my home Xbox. I am able to play mortal shell and other games, including previously owned Xbox 360 games. These two games are the only ones I'm unable to play, any help is welcome.

    It's a long drawn out process, But you can always vote on which game you want to be reverse compatible!

    because they cant just offer any game, they need the publishers permission, its up to activision to allow games to be compatible

    I figured that it was probably a question for the developers, I was just wondering whether there was some sort of system wide approach being adopted given that it will effect a large number of games. Especially now there's no reverse compatibility on the
    next gen.
