Some Quick Xbone Questions.

How do I make a party on the Xbone? How do I join games? How do I dashboard out of a game and lose connection, in case I get thrown in a modded lobby? I havent messed around with the Xbone too much, just mostly play the game, but I tried joining a game with
Scratch this weekend and couldnt figure out alot of these things, LOL. Itll take some getting used to for sure. Any helpful ways to navigate the Xbone? Share.

DLC Purchase: Does buying on the 360 transfer?

Quick question, if i buy the DLC (Havoc Map Pack) on the Xbone does it also allow me to dwn load on xbox 360?

XB1 controller guide button?

Hi all, quick question, is the wee guide/xbox button in the middle of the controller meant to light up? Mine doesn't but it works fine so i wasn't sure, i got the xbone friday past. Thankyou

 

I did used to play with parties a TON, especially in CoDs on the 360, but I have like 4 days played on Ghosts and I have not been in one party yet, LOL.

 

For parties, you can do two things. First, go to the home screen and there should be a box called party. click on that and you can start one. Or you can say Xbox snap party and it should do it for you. Once you start a party, it is easy to figure out how
to invite people. What is not intuitive is that unless you are in a game lobby with game chat going, you need to turn on chat to talk with your friends, and they need to do the same. Seems silly as this was always an always on thing on the 360 and you had
to go back to game chat if you wanted it.

Joining games is hit or miss, and very much miss. I have yet to be able to get into an active game a friend is in. But I have had one join me so I know you can. But if you are looking to just invite a friend to your game lobby before you get into a multiplayer
lobby, then hit Y scroll to your friend, click on their name, and hit invite to party, which means your game. Half the time, the invite will not show up. If it doesn't, it is likely still there but not searchable in messages etc. If your friend goes to the
same friends screen, a prompt at the bottom of the screen is likely there that says accept game invite with the start button as the accept button. ( the button with 3 lines on it, maybe it isn't really start. I don't know).

For your dashboarding, I don't know the answer to that. hitting the xbox button just sends you to the home screen and the game is still going. I think you can say xbox sign out and then click yes and that would be the fastest way. I saw a troll video a while
back that the guy had his gamer tag as xbox sign out so when people said it.... well you know.

I play HC Search quite a bit if you would like to play. I had you as a friend on Ops 2, but got rid of the gamer tag with my 360 and got the same one back with the one, just not the friends or stats. So add me again if you like

 

Send FR or I can when I figure out this navigation, LOL. Did your connections go bad last night. It must have been the update/DLC release/whatever. There would be now countdowns after selecting class before a game (I couldnt even make it to the first flag
in Dom), I got the black screen thingy for the first time (had to do hard reset), and I also had a host dashboard and the whole lobby kicked by to lobby during game, like a host dashed. Seemed as the dedis are gone.

 

I actually didn't play at all last night, just downloaded the update and maps, got into the multiplayer menus to see if I would black screen, and then signed out as I had other pressing things to do. As for the dedicated servers, they have been hit or miss
since the start. Not every lobby is dedicated, and likely more than half are not. I don't know the numbers but I have had a few lobbies in the past which were hosted by a person not a server system. The roll out of the crazy amount of servers world wide unfortunately
did not get rid of the hosting issues. FR sent by the way

 

Did you finally get the xbox one?

 

Does the CoD (or any games) updates, update automatically for the Xbone (because it is always wired and "on"? Because I can not find were to DL the latest CoD updates. It did ask me once to do it "now" and I clicked A for yes, then I just resumed playing
and never noticed anything DLing.

 

The xone was sooo slow to begin a match, but the update does give no time especially in objective matches. Much easier to spawn trap.

Uneasy the counters before a match were hot fixed with the update. They ''fixed''the long match beginning spawn startup time but now you literally have no time to select a class. I must have spawn trapped about 4 to 5 games to begin, dlc night. People just
caught off guard by the no timer. I put on marathon and agility with a lsat and fully loaded. On fog I was a beast. Can't wait to get online tonight.

Spawns were also improved which I noticec but I feel as though foot steps were nerfed. I know DS and amplify were nerfed aswell as the AK-12. Your reticle now sways but it's more of a appearance thing. (scratches head)

 

Uneasy on the one you must select updates for GAMES when prompted by the game during startup. Now your dl/update appear on the apps selection screen it is usually within a box in the upper right showing the dl status%. I was also like, where the heck is
my cod update and dlc dl and progress. I must have hit the dl button fot the cod dlc 3 times before I went ahead and located where it was actually dl.

Stuff like that is why I just scratch my head at the xone development and ease of use and simplicity. All this app this, app that for different uses is a joke imo. I need an app to open a app to see what app is in use. Seriously the whole ''APP'' thing has
been changed into something annoying and cumbersome.

 

Cod 2 Halo... You will be disappointed tonight as they hotfixed the timer at 11pm EST last night. I had the same thing of instant in a game and then at 11 it kicked me out of the lobby and had an updated play last. Past there, the timer was back. The time
was never over 15 seconds but it is back and no longer who can select a class the fastest.

The update on my game took me out of COD ghosts the other day. I couldn't play it until it was done. I think I could play during the onslaught updated but didn't try.

Maybe it is just me, but something changed with the way you get a kill. I don't know what it is, but I used to know when I killed someone right away. Now I don't. I shot at them and then shoot again their direction and not know if I killed them or not originally.
I don't know if it is the trigger vibrations being different or somehow turned off, or if they don't show up on screen the same, or if I used to get some kind of audio. I have no idea but something is different. I play search on HC so it never said +50 or
whatever for a kill like in core, but something is different. It is weirdly different and like I said, I feel like I don't know when I killed a guy.

 

Oh, the timer thing had me thinking the dedis were gone. Ill have to see how it does today. So I have to go into apps to find my update DL info? Itll take some getting used to, these Xbone navigation skills.

 

I have to say after 3 months I still have a hard time with the One. I finally turned off the kinect because it would rather sign my dog in as me and if somebody talks in the room the kinect command options screen likes to pop up. It takes a very long time
to send messages especially when im sitting in a lobby and want to invite someone to my game. The one has a lot of bugs to work out and for some reason the 360 was a much smoother system to run when doing things like party chat and just wanting to surprise
a friend by jumping in their match quickly. I don't know how smooth the ps4 is working but im starting to think I should go have a look because to date the One has been a drag with no xbox one games to play that weren't already on the 360. I have been playing
on consoles for a long time been on your friends list a long time and just don't feel like this console is going to be much.

 

I without backwards compat I constantly want to get my 360 out of the box and start playing black ops again or skyrim
