Some questions

1) What time is this forum on? Most forums use the local time of the forum user, no? This forum is 7 or so hours ahead for me.

2) The Xbox One layout. Why is it so bad compared to the 360? With the 360, everything was easy to find. Where is the "Games with Gold" menu option? Shouldn't there be some sort of link to games with gold when you hit Games? I mean they have featured, recommendations,
search, but no "Games with Gold" option? I'm still trying to understand why they changed so much from the 360. It was perfect.

3) Why are edit notes required? I just made a misspelling.

Some Questions

1. If you want the best TV for your money, join AVSForum and ask around
here. Generally it's better to read reviews and get expert opinions on a TV, rather than going to the store and picking the one you think looks best, because they almost never are.

2.If you xbox has an HDMI port, get this in preparation for your new TV. If it doesn't have one, then a component cable is a good second choice.

3. I'm not familiar with any headsets because I prefer surround sound, but yes, it does look like you'll need an additional adapter to use that if you intend to use an HDMI cable.

Some Questions

What's the difference between the white number and the green number in brackets?

 

If you are on the home screen then the games with gold tab is on the bottom right.

 

1. At the bottom of this site's page, you can select the country. I select my country but notice that the time can be off by 1 hour.

2. Xbox 1 consoles have a WINDOWS based OS (Xbox 1 software search Wikipedia) so the UI for sure looks like Windows 8 which not everyone including me, likes. I still think the Xbox 360 UI is more youth and kid friendlier. On Xbox 1, it tends to be Windows
8 jargon.

3. If you make a booboo, I guess Microsoft wants to know why in the edit notes. It's not like your English teacher is going to come on here and point their finger at you. I tried editing once, the site said a moderator needed to approve it before it would
be posted. I seldom edit my posts.

 

Games with Gold is on the home dashboard slide, last box in the bottom right corner.

 

I like the Xb1 dash ........

......Better than the 360 dash .

The last thing I used is in the big tile , the most frequently used ..surround it , and 1 click left is a page full of my pins ...

Whats so hard about it that people moan on ?.

How could the op not see the games with gold tile on the front page ?.

 

Honestly, once you get used to the new dashboard, it's not so bad.

People have already informed you where the GwG tab is, but you can also utilize the website here: www.xbox.com/.../sales-and-specials

 

I don't understand why people buy a One and expect it to be a 360......

 

I'm with silvertash on this.. I LOVE the one UI... everything is on that screen in front of me that i use 90% of the time and a quick skip left is all my pins

 

I love the Xbox One dashboard you can get to anything you need with 1 press of the bumper left or right ... it can't get any easier if you use pins and it's been said the GWG is nearly impossible to miss.

Now the game store needs some work, alphabetical listing and genre groups would be a nice start.

 

You can change the time zone think its in your profile

 

I like things sectioned off so preferred the old 360 dashboard.

At least pins work opn the XO tho, without them it would be a mess.

 

I find the Xbox One home screen a bit more simple. Compared to the Xbox 360 dashboard, it feels similar. While they are different the tiles are obviously feel familiar.

While the GwG tile is right at your home screen I have to agree with the OP. There should be a GwG/DwG area in the store

 

Ok well I dont see Games with Gold on the home screen but when I signed in it was on featured...however when I wasn't signed in it wasnt on featured and it wasnt on my home screen. Usually all I see on homescreen is the game in the disc tray, Snap, My Games
and Apps, Party, Achievements, and some games that I have been playing recently. There are two titanfall squares, I'm not really sure why theres not just one. And theres also a Rayman Legends square.
