Some of my older video purchases asking me to re download even though they are on hard drive

I recently started watching some of my movies and some of them were asking me to download them even though they were already on my hard drive so I thought maybe there might be something wrong with the file. So I deleted the file that was on the hard drive
and downloaded the video again but now the file was double the original size. So what was 1.2gb is now 2.4gb and was that way with every video I had to re download. Is there a reason the video files are doubling in size? I bought a 320gb hard drive for video
and games but if this keeps up I'll be out of room real quick.

error code 80070003

Im trying to download my profile to my hard drive again and get the error above. This does not happen when i use a older hard drive. I have cleaned the catch out and re-installed the updates. I even removed some of the other profiles.

Is there anything else we can try?

GamerTag Download question

If my brother, who's gamertag is on my hard drive and his own, was to purchase a piece of DLC on his gamertag but on my hard drive, then re download it on his hard drive, would i be able to play the DLC too, without any kind of complications?

It's possible depending on when you purchased them that the original download was 720p and the new download is 1080p. Outside of that, I'm not entirely sure.

it was purchased with my account. it was bought and downloaded on my old console. That console broke, so i bought a new one. the dlc is on my hard drive. since i can't renew the licenses by re-downloading the dlc (due to it being removed from the store entirely).
I can no longer access the dlc at all, even though the dlc data is on my hard drive.

I ask because I'm looking at re-downloading around 100GB on slow internet connection and on top of that some of my older DLC is no longer available on the servers so I certainly can't even re-download that stuff.

(Thanks for responding) Unfortunately that did not help. I check my hard drive. There was no indication of an error or corruption. The video in question looked like every other video file on my hard drive. The Xbox video app even said that the download was
supposed to be that small (which doesn't make sense seeing as every other episode was appx. 500mb). I deleted it from my hard drive (from the system settings memory tab) and re-downloaded it but that did not help. Maybe there could have been an error on xbox
video's end when they posted the season... But that's just wishful thinking.

Just an FYI, if you're having issues with any sort of content just re-download it. Since it's already on the hard drive it will only have to update the license again and the download will finish instantaneously. I had this issue when switching from the XBOX
360 S to the XBOX 360 S Gears of War 3 console where some of my arcade games were only showing up as trials until I re-downloaded them again even though I just swapped hard drives
