Some of my games won't install from disc on the Xbox One

I tried installing some of my old Xbox One games on my Xbox One X Scorpio Edition. The install didn't even start nor did it give the usual popup saying that an update it needed.

So far I've tried it on Destiny and Assassin's Creed Ezio Collection. Both discs are in perfect condition and work fine on other consoles.

The console started an update when I put in the disc for Trials Rising, and it autoloaded Overwatch which was already installed. This tells me that the hardware is running fine.

I am on the Omega preview dashboard but it's not showing any signs of games crashing or freezing.

I have reset the console, power cycled, cleared the offline saves and persistent blu ray data etc.

It's all looking to be a software issue as the drive works and the console still loads games from disc that are already installed.

I called support and they want to charge me over £200 for a repair that isn't even hardware related and is quite possibly caused from one of their updates. Even the support rep said it sounds like the cause.

Has anyone had this issue or know of a workaround because it's driving me crazy?

Update: 3rd chat rep was more helpful. He agreed that it doesn't look like the hardware or the disc are at fault. He will be looking into it with other staff while I wait for an update that will be due out tomorrow. It's the same version as the preview
version I'm running but I'm getting a more polished one. Hopefully that will fix it but we will see.

So it looks like your in Xbox Insiders program>>did you provide them with feedback regarding this issue. You might want to try factory resetting your Xbox.

f you’re ready to reset your console to the factory default settings, follow these steps:

Press the Xbox button to open the guide.
Select System > Settings > System > Console info.
Select Reset console.

On the Reset your console? screen, you'll see three options:
- Reset and remove everything. This option resets the console to factory settings. All user data, including accounts, saved games, settings, home Xbox associations, and all games and apps will be deleted. You should use this option when selling
  or gifting the console to someone else. You should only use this option as a last resort in some troubleshooting cases.
- Reset and keep my games & apps. You should use this option as your primary choice when troubleshooting. It will reset the OS and delete all potentially corrupted data without deleting your games or apps. This will save you from downloading
  or reinstalling the large game files. In some cases, if a corrupt game file is causing the issue you're troubleshooting, you may have to choose Reset and remove everything, but you should always start with Reset and keep my games &
  apps and save Reset and remove everything as a last resort.
- Cancel. To back out of this screen, simply select the Cancel button. No action has been taken at this point. This is a safe exit from this screen.
