Some of my games no longer require the Disc inserted to Play. Why is this?

I no longer need to insert my disc to play Black ops 4, Halo 5, Grand Theft Auto 5, along with a few others. I did NOT buy the digital download, I've never bought anything from the microsoft store related to these games. I definitely bought the disc
and installed it and just noticed one day after not inserting the discs, the games work anyways. Why is this? This can't be intentional on Microsoft's part... because then I could just Buy a game, install it, then sell it immediately and basically get all
my games for free. Is this some sort of glitch? Thanks for you input guys.

If the games are part of a subscription then the disc is not required as long as the subscription remains active. If the subscription is canceled or expires then the disc will need to be inserted to play that game.

Just thought I would clear up any possible confusion there.

some of those titals are part of game pasd are you subscribed?

Halo 4 is on gamepass if you're a member of that you wouldn't need the disk. Black Ops 4 is having a free to play week for just Blackout. I'm not sure why GTAV would run free. But I'd say it a glitch if it was doing that. It's definitely not intentional.

Some games are verified by Microsoft that you own them.

Also if you have EA Pass or a Game Pass if these games are on it, you don't need the disc.

do any other accounts have the Xox you are playing on set as their home Xbox?

And if so do they have the digital rights to any of those games, either a digital purchase or game pass subscription?
