    Some help regarding connection

    Hi there,

I am on Sky broadband and it was displaying my NAT type as strict. I reset my console to factory settings and added my connection back to the xbox. This time it gave me the option of AES or TKIP. I chose AES but not too sure what the difference is. It changed
my NAT to open but i am wondering, did i mess anything up by choosing this as it doesnt mention any of these in my router page.

Anyone able to help me on this?

    Thanks.

    :)

  2. invite friend?

    Hello,

to invite a friend to your game you both must have open Nat connection. If you or your friends connection is set in moderate or restricted Nat that causes problems in multiplayer games. To receive more help you should provide some more information regarding
your net connection or that of your friends

    Hope this helps

make also sure your xbox audio settings are set to "uncompressed 5.1" surround sound. best way to connect the xbox to your AVR is via HDMI. For setting up your AVR with optimal settings, the respective manual usually helps.

  4. Some help regarding connection

Here's the difference between AES and TKIP.

    First AES,

AES stands for advanced encryption standard. This data encryption system, which is either a 128-bit, 192-bit or 256-bit cipher block, is considered by experts to be the most secure encryption protection option for your wireless network. This security system
is approved for government use, but because AES takes more power to run, small devices and networks don't implement it.

    Now for TKIP,

    TKIP

TKIP stands for temporal key integrity protocol. The essential problem with most networks is that a cyber attacker might access and recover your data after observing just a small amount of your traffic. TKIP addresses this problem by automatically producing
a new network key every few minutes. This prevents attackers from ever gathering enough data to break into your network.

The fastest and best WIFI security choice should be WPA2 personal and AES cipher type (and disable TKIP cipher type). I don't think you did any permanent damage.
