    Some games not starting, screen dims during videos.


    Around the 8th of Jan I've been having a few issues with my Xbox, around the time I got a system update. I looked online and some other people have been having a few of these problems, so it makes me think that maybe its a problem with the latest update?

    Problems:

    * Gamer pics of profiles on my Xbox don't show, still shows friends gamer pictures

    * When at Home it says "sign in" at the top left, when I'm already signed in. Used to show my Gamer tag without my Gamer pic until I re downloaded my profile.

    * Screen dims during videos after a few mins

    * I get notifications while watching YouTube and Netflix, when I have it set to off during videos.

    * A few of my games don't launch, sends me back to Home after a few seconds stuck on initial picture.

    * Can't submit a problem through preview app

    Things I tried:

    * Resetting Xbox.

    * Hard Reset.

    * Resetting router, and changed port.

    * Re downloaded my profile, and the profile I'm game sharing with.

    * Re download games that don't work.

    * Re downloaded non working game with profile I'm game sharing with. (and yes, the profile is set to home on my Xbox.)

    If someone could help me resolve these problems, I will be eternally grateful. I've tried everything I could think of, and I'm getting super frustrated...

    Xbox One dimming while watching Netflix

    My Xbox dims now too. Hint to Microsoft: videos don't screen burn, and my TV doesn't worry about screen burn-in. There's literally NO NEED for a friggin' screen saver on a console. Let *me* worry about *my* TV, and either remove the dim completely or add
    a toggle to turn it off.

    dimming screen during videos?!

    We're two months beyond this and I'm having this problem, also. Is there a fix yet?

    Some games not starting, screen dims during videos.

    A full factory reset might be your only option but then you would have to install everything again so I don't know how you feel about that?

    I would contact support to see what they suggest.

    Just remember you will need to install everything again if you factory reset
