Some Games Not Spinning Up.

Hello,

My problem is some of my games and Blu-rays have suddenly stopped spinning up!

Call of Duty still works fine but my other games and blu-rays are simply not spinning up. (Holding my ear to the console)

I've played these games before! Almost finished them in fact but now they WILL NOT SPIN UP!!

Over this!!

Should I take it back to where I brought it for a replacement?

HELP!!

Anyone else having trouble with the NFL app?

For some reason it won't load up. The same thing happened on Friday, yesterday it was working and now today, nothing again. It just stays on the loading page with the spinning circle thingy but does not open up.

Loud humming and buzzing from 360 slim.

It's your DVD drive spinning up to full gear. It's normal. Install your games to solve your problem. Spinning at that speed for too long is bad for your drive and your disc...

If some of your discs have suddenly stopped working then it does sound like a fault and you should take it back to the shop for a replacement.

It might be a good idea to do a factory restore first to see if that fixes it.

If it doesn't fix it make sure you delete all your profiles or do another factory reset before taking it back just to be safe.

One thing I have noticed is that if a do not push a disc into the disc drive hard enough for the disc drive to take it in first time then the disc wont register when it eventually goes into Xbox One. So I always make sure to give the disc a little bit of
good push into the disc drive and disc run first time no problems.

This of course could be a totally different issue to yours altogether.

Sounds like he optical drive is spinning up to check if the disk is inserted. Some game and movie disk are mildly unbalanced and can be a little noisier when they spin up, and also take longer to spin down. Usually not an issue.

You never had to actually choose a "Play from HDD" option to play the game. Once it's installed the game will play from the hard drive no matter how you start it up. The game is supposed to spin when you start it up, and newer games will spin longer because
of some new piracy stuff added, but should stop after a couple of minutes.

Is the disc spinning the entire time you're playing? The reason I ask is because some of the newer games
(e.g., Gears of War 3, Forza Motorsport 4) do spin for a couple of minutes at start up (even if installed) but then the drive goes silent after.
