Some games detect my Xbox Wireless Controller as two controllers and create two players.

The problem is as follows. I have an Xbox Wireless Controller Series S/X.

Lenovo Legion 5 laptop (Ryzen 5 4600H, RTX 2060, 16GB RAM, Windows 11).

In some games the gamepad is defined as two gamepads, as an example TMNT shredder's revenge, after selecting the first player, the game asks to select the second, although the gamepad is connected only one, and if you run the game by selecting the second then in the game I will control two players at once. The same problem in Sonic Mania, after starting the game appears two characters and I control both at the same time. Also in some games control icons constantly switch to the keyboard and back to the gamepad, as if I am constantly pressing some button on the keyboard, although it is not so. Also in some games the movements of the left stick are defined simultaneously as a stick and as D-Pad and pressed in the game and both buttons.

Maybe someone has encountered something like this?

Hello, tried to update controller firmware, connect from cabel and wireless, nothing changed. Will try something else. Thanks.

I found solution just in this moment

Steam is guilty in all sins. Steam has different settings sets for in game Steam input, desktop Steam input and other. And exact desktop input called this issue, i just switched off Steam input for desktop and it fixed the issue. Now everything works fine.
