    Some games are unplayable on series X


    So I’ve had this series X for about 10 days now and most of the time it works just fine, great even, but there are certain games from game pass that all crash to dashboard within a minute, while others seem to work just fine.

    These are the ones I’ve found are virtually unplayable:

    Crusader Kings 3

    The Riftbreaker

    Serious Sam 4

    Psychonauts 2

    and.. Slimerancher

    Meanwhile Yakuza: Like a Dragon seems to be working, not to mention games I own, like GTA 5, Destiny 2, Cyberpunk 2077, No Man’s Sky and so on.

    This makes me believe it’s not a hardware issue.

    Here are the things I’ve attempted to resolve this problem:

    Clear MAC address

    Clear persistent Blu-ray storage x3

    Clear cache

    Delete local saves

    Factory reset

    Uninstall and reinstall

    The console is not enrolled in the preview program and all these games have been installed on internal storage.

    Nothing has worked.

    What’s going on here?

    What do I do?

    Edit: Alan Wake, which I own also crashes in the same fashion, so this is not exclusive to game pass.

    You could try first use a different network as a mobile hotspot to check if this changes

    After that try a different account with the games, sometimes the issue is account related

    Finally could be the system having issues, so you could try to restore keeping games and apps, please be sure that you know your account email and password:

    Press the Xbox button to open the guide.

    Select Profile & system > Settings > System > Console info.

    Select Reset console.

    On the Reset your console screen, you'll see three option use this one, be sure you remember the email and password of you're accounts:

    Reset and keep my games & apps. Use this option as your primary choice when troubleshooting. It will reset the OS and delete all potentially corrupted data without deleting your games or apps. In some cases, if a corrupt game file is causing the issue you're troubleshooting, you may have to choose Reset and remove everything, but you should always start with Reset and keep my games & apps

    If a different account and a different network as well as a factory reset hasn't worked, Follow these steps to request the service:

    Sign in to the Device service and repair page with your Microsoft account credentials.

    Select the device that you want repaired.

    Follow the onscreen steps to complete your service order request.
