*Some* games are causing XB1 to restart!?

I have been having issues with my XB1 - a few of my games are causing it to restart and I can't even play them! But some others I can play... it's weird

Games that do not work - Madden 15 (full digital download version), Trials Fusion (full digital download), NHL 15 Demo, FIFA 15 Demo, Forza 2 Demo

All of these that don't work do the same thing... they will load to the title screen of the game and then freeze. Then out of no where, my xbox will restart itself!

Games that do work - Titanfall + map packs (full digital download version), Powerstar Golf (digital demo), Need for Speed Rivals (Disc), Madden 25 (Disc)

All of my apps work just fine too!

I began to think it was an EA Sports problem, so I went to them first. I went through all of their people and my case is currently being studied by their "media studio" - whatever that means?

Things I have done...

- power cycle with unplugging

- reinstall games

- cleared local memory data / cache

- reset my MAC address

- wired vs. wireless connections

- EA sports blamed my ISP, so I even had them come to my house and check out my lines. They replace a line and gave me a new router and said my lines were good. Didn't fix my xbox problems

- Factory Reset!

I'm beginning to think it's a problem with my xbox! Does anyone have any ideas?? I really want to play my games - especially Madden 15 - I bought it day 1 and I still haven't played a single down! <grrrr!!!>

Hi there, I'm sorry you're having problems with your Xbox hard drive. One step you may want to take is clearing the system cache on your hard drive. Instructions can be found here:

support.xbox.com/.../clear-system-cache

If clearing the system cache doesn't work, you may have a defective hard drive that should be replaced. A hard drive replacement can be requested at

myservice.xbox.com/.../consolemanager.aspx. In-warranty repairs are free, and out-of-warranty repairs may have a replacement fee.

 

since no on is helping me anymore, I have no choice but to send it in... I will miss you xbox - good luck on your journey!

Sorry to hear about the issue, I can definitely understand how frustrating that could be. It is definitely odd that the issue only occurs with specific games, are you participating in the Preview Program? If you are participating in the Preview Program,
I recommend posting in our Preview Forums so that the right folks can see the issue.

 

I am part of that program and I have posted to them too and nothing seems to fix the problems
