some games appear in the apps section since new update

i got the new update earlier and at first the new layout seemed to be better but then i noticed two of my games were missing. i then noticed both these games are now listed under the apps section. the games are nutjitsu and threes.

it's annoying that these two games are no longer listed along with all my other games and i'm wondering if anyone else has this issue and if so will it be fixed?

How can I check if my game has been updated

If you're on the old dashboard still games will have a * in the top right corner of their image in the my games and apps section, so long as you haven't launched the game since it updated. The new dash just gives you a notification if it updated.

 

Newest apps available?

Just wondering what the newest apps are on Xbox one. When I go to my apps section the newest app that shows up is WorldGaming which was released 2015-11-17.

Not sure how many apps have been released since then I know the community calendar app is suppose to be out. It seems my apps are the only thing that doesn't update, movies and games update fine. Just apps don't.

Anyone else have this problem?

 

In the new update, it makes Windows 10 cross compatibility possible, and on the Windows 10 system those games are considered to be apps. Mainly because of their mobile compatibility.

 

thanks for the reply and yeah that makes sense but it is annoying though. i don't know much about newer windows versions because i still use windows 7 and i'm happy with it.

the new update has some nice new features but games being listed in the apps section for whatever reason spoils it for me. i would really like to keep all my games in the same category like it was before.

maybe they could fix it so no games get listed in the apps section for the xboxone regardless of what windows 10 does but i doubt it.

xboxone is a games console after all and as i see it games are games and apps are apps and they should belong in the correct section.
