Some Game Pass apps in Xbox app on PC won't install.

thank you for your reply, for my other friends with the same regional settings (germany) it worked however and changing it to other regions (i hoped that i would then get another download server) didnt help either. so i don't think it has to do with the region.

the windows update mentioned in the support article is not up-to-date anymore i think. i downloaded it from microsoft update catalog and it told me that it wouldn't be working for my pc. i forced it to install with cmd (which is probably a bad idea), but still the xbox installation does not work.

Oh okay. If you're planning on upgrading to Windows 11 then that'll be great. It would fix whatever the issue is. Apologies for the inconvenience

Hey, there it could be because of your region. Again, you are in Germany there could be limits. But you could try to read this Support Article.

thanks for the long reply. I tried all your steps and still the same problem.

Step 1:

Tried that before and it turned on some service for me, after that i tried it again and it doesn't find anything to change.

step 2:

the BITS service was running, i restarted it.

the windows updater was also running, i restarted it also.

i beforehand tried to also start/restart different xbox services in the same list

step 3:

regsvr32 Qmgr.dll /s

didnt work for me, so i tried

regsvr32 %SystemRoot%\system32\qmgr.dll /s

which did work.

regsvr32 Qmgrprxy.dll /s
seemed to work as well

step 4:

i found a friend with the same version of windows and copied his regedit file into mine and rebooted windows.

step 5:

i tried that last night and reinstalled windows 10. didnt work.
