Some Game DLC not working offline on new Console

Did you buy the game and DLC just recently, or did you buy the DLC and game in the past, and in the mean time got a different/new Xbox 360 and try to download the game again on this new console?

If you re-download a previous purchase on a different console, you need an active internet connection to play the DLC.

Or if you wish to play it offline, you need to do a license transfer to the new console and re-download the game/DLC again. If you have the game still stored on your storage device, the console will just download a new license file instead of the whole game.
After you updated the license, you should be able to play the game and DLC offline.

Unfortunately, the support page explaining how to do the license transfer is broken. So try it this way: Sign in with your account on your console, make sure the console is connected online, and go to the settings hub on the far right. Then go to the account
tile, and scroll through the available options. You should somewhere find there the option to do a license transfer.

Follow the instructions, and after you did the license transfer to this console, make sure you re-download your games and DLC that don't work offline on that console.

Then try to play the DLC offline.

Hi, my game FH4 with all dlc installed to internal console drive. When i play offline, dlc dont work - cars from dlc, only Lego and Fortune island work. When i connect to internet, all working. When i disconnect internet, work. Then when i restart console or turn it off and on, all dlc stop working.

I think there is some issue with licence maybe, or other something wrong...

If DLC works the same as arcade games, which I think it does, you can only play it offline on the console where you purchased the DLC.

To be used offline, the content must be installed first to the console you wish to use offline. It cannot be installed on one console and moved to another.



Supposedly MS has been working with the Army on things like this. There should be a base you can hook up your 360 at so you can buy and download the content. I say buy because if you don't buy the DLC and download it to your deployed console first you won't
be able to use it offline. If your wife already purchased it under your account you'll need to do a license transfer to get it working offline on your deployed console.



Honestly, it's too much trouble for a single new DLC. You're better off waiting for the inevitable Game of the Year edition that includes all the DLC on disc. If it's like Fallout 3, disc-based DLC will install to any console and not require a Live connection
for use, the downside being the DLC must be installed from disc. It won't become a downloadable option under your account the way a disc-based Steam game does.
