Some friends always appearing as offline.

I've had this problem since launch day. Some of my friends always appear as offline. At some points I have been playing online in the same BF4 server as these friends and they Xbox One Friends app still shows that this person is offline and I appear offline
to them.

I have gone through all the obvious fixes.

I have checked with the friend and all of their privacy setting are correctly set (others can see us as online but we can't see each other) and we haven't blocked each other or anything like that (I can see the players status/ Last Seen activity via Xbox.com)

I have tried removing and re-adding the friend on Xbox One, Xbox One Smartglass, Xbox.com and via Xbox 360.

I have tried removing and re-adding my own profile to my Xbox One.

I have tried asking the friend to do these things to but there seems to be no way yet to make our profiles connect.

The Xbox support online chat were no help, they simply took me through all these steps which I had already tried then palmed me off with an email about how to start a party which was less than no help. The guys on the Xbox Twitter Support team were a bit
more honest. After asking me about all these steps they admitted they didn't really have a clue about the issue but took my Gamertag and are currently investigating it. I was wondering if anyone else had this issue.

It may be something you would not notice as if someone is appearing offline you might just think that they aren't playing their Xbox and you may not see them to ask otherwise in your everyday life.

I would appreciate it if anyone had any insight into the issue or even if someone can tell me I'm not alone with the problem!

Friends appearing as offline

I had a friend offline when online as well. I just assumed he had set it like that. Did you ask those friends about it? Cause if they didn't change their settings, then maybe you do have an issue... ask them. Then, if they say no, they are not trying to
appear offline so that you wont bug them, then, I would contact Live support either by calling the hotline, or with your computer or smart phone or whatever, or just try posting in a support forum.... I'm new. But awesome, you're welcome.

 

Friends appearing as offline

For the past week or so two of my friends on my Friends list have offline next to their name even though they have been online since

They have been online while I've been playing (get the notification) but when I look in my friends list it still says they are offline. If I go on my Ipad Xbox app it shows them as online

Anyone know how to fix this or experiencing similar issues ?

 

just today half of my friends showed offline even though I just played with them yesterday

 

Are they still showing as offline even though you know they are logged in?

 

Having this same issue, One of my friends is appearing offline when he is online. Have gone through the steps to fix it and nothing worked. Did you ever fix this on yours?

 

Having same issue, me and my friend applied fixes above,still nothing. Come on Microsoft, really?

 

Maybe in there setting tey have offline off and only me able to see it?

have you powered down you xbox console to clear the cache etc

 

I'm having the same issue, out of 96 friends There are 4 glitched to OFFLINE, I can't see there bio,motto,location etc. I'm having this issue with my girlfriend I know shes online becuase shes telling me she is and she is not appear offline. Niether one
of us have changed are privacy settings, this started about 3 days ago. She says she has other friends that can not see her information either but others can see it just fine. I logged on Xbox.com and tried to see it through there and still she is OFFLINE,
I also know she is not apear offline becuase you can see the last game she played and time offline if that were the case, But i can't see what was the last game she played or the amount of time she has been off. Hopefully Microsoft is working on this, Yes
there are bigger issues to work on but this one still needs to be known.

 

I have this issue with two of my friends. Added one on 360 and the other through Xbox One. Neither of them show online to me even though they are and we've checked all the settings...

I also have two friends whom I added on my 360, who only play 360, but do not show on that friends list. But they do appear in my xbox one friends list. I didn't even have xbox one when I added them
