So a valuable lesson has just been learned about microsoft and phil spencers plan to have kinect sell itself. Since Xbox One went kinectless it opened up the opportunity to disconnect and discard your kinect. Don't be fooled like me. See I bought the Xbox
One because well honestly I loved what it was bringing to the table. Well mostly I bought for gaming but also fell in love with the tv function. Which now leads me into my feedback. This may get ugly and I apologize. Look I love the gaming portion of the xbox
and I love the tv function as well. I watch more tv then I play games so much so I bought the media remote the 2nd day I owned my beautiful xbox one. Well the honeymoon is completely over. Why you ask. Well I recently(and by that I mean 2 hours ago) sold my
kinect with the understanding its not required at all for most things to function properly. With the exception of obviously skype, twitch and apps that actually utilize the camera on the kinect. What I didn't expect was for the functionality of using the tv
portion wouldn't work properly. Basically I learned today that if you love use the tv function your kinect is 100% required or an ir peripheral, because not only doesn't the game controller work for simple tasks anymore such as volume control and channel changing
even the one guide doesn't allow you to do anything either. Which really doesn't make any sense. Why doesn't the game controller work to use these functions? Why doesn't the media remote work wihout the kinect? I mean you can still browse your home screen
menus and such but you can't control tv. Which leads me to also believe using the controller or media remote won't work for other apps such as Netflix or hulu etc. The next question is, why on the xbox website to setup tv is there not one single disclaimer
noting to use volume control or change channels or the oneguide that the kinect is absolutely required for those simple functions. You know simple functions that should never require the kinect in the 1st place. Now to get into it. If Microsoft is this shady
to not release all the actually specific requirements of functionality for such things as the TV what else are they hiding. All you had to do was have a disclaimer which apparently was just too hard to accomplish. That and its apparent that the plan to have
kinects self themselves is to force people who want to use functions such as TV will be forced to buy a kinect to get 100% functionality. Which even worse if you own a media remote like me it completely renders the kinect useless. So way to be shady on the
plan instead of just listing what loses functionality when you disconnect the kinect. Also with the lose of the kinect you can no longer have your xbox one system linked with your tv. By that I mean having it setup to turn your tv off when your console powers
down or having it turn on when your console powers off. So basically I guess the plan all in all is to alienate fans and comsumers to buy a kinect in order to actually take advantage of some of the unique qualities about xbox one therefor forcing people yet
again to buy something that mostly nobody wanted in the 1st place. Way to go Phil Spencer and Xbox but due to this and now my complete distrust in your company i feel it's time I move away from xbox and microsoft completely after the many years ive owned your
consoles all the way from the beginning but now you've gone too far. You lie about your products you force them on us just to make money. PS4 may not have the tv function I love but damn atleast they appear to not lying about anything. So thank you xbox for
all the years of fun from the orignal xbox system to the great times I had on thr 360 to the not so trusting experience I have just felt wih your xbox one system. F.Y.I. I plan on letting rest of the gaming community know of these shady deeds. Never say something
functions normally without something if it truly doesn't, especially if its part of a feature that tuly makes your product unique. So from 1 fan out billions thanks for lying to the community and trying to make us think you care. You obviously don't and want
to force a useless product on us to use something that it shouldn't even require. Thank You for your time.

    :)

XBOX One could be a hit in japan IF......

The console has to be as good as the xbox 360 in terms of what it offers otherwise the xbox 1 could be 3nd best in Japan. Your move Microsoft. being competitive is better then making more money. Keep that in mind. I hope Phil Spencer reads this...:D
