Discus and support **SOLVED** Xbox one problems (disconnects on GTA5, etc w/ TC8305C Router/gateway in XBoX on Consoles to solve the problem; Ok I had problems staying online in GTA5 mostly but some other games as well.     **SOLVED** Xbox one problems (disconnects on GTA5, etc w/ TC8305C Router/gateway


    Ok I had problems staying online in GTA5 mostly but some other games as well. N I'll post this because I was in the same boat as everyone else I seen posting online about this. After plenty of tries and so on, I solved my problems finally after trying n
    trying. Here you go:

    1. Log into your router on ur PC by typing in the IP in browser - this model (TC8304C is usually 10.0.01 by default)

    2. Go under Parental Controls and select manage devices - under trusted sites/computers Enable your xbox one under sites, devices and all under parental controls section.

    3. Under advanced settings make sure UPnP is enabled, change advertisement time to 30 , time to live to 5 hops.

    There ya go, any questions or if I left anything out , make a post/reply and I'll get back to you since I'm writing this while at work. I'll get ya in the right direction.

    I get kicked out of every XBOX live game I play, and can't join or play parties.

    Well that's even better! Be sure to keep an eye out for any other odd online activity (Xbox Live disconnects, party chat issues, etc) as those are very well documented symptoms of the Technicolor TC8305C gateway.

    Known Issues

    Technicolor Tc8305C is not compatible with the Xbox. It has nothing to do with Xbox because they do not manufacture that router! This is one of the few routers that has no permanent fix for the random disconnects and Comcast for some reason is still giving
    them out!!!!!!

    Hey there JoiningOdin1990!

    Sorry to hear about the connection issues!

    This is a known issue with the Technicolor TC8305C gateways firmware, which you can have a look at the

    Technicolor Known Issues post for more information. Unfortunately the main fix is to either add a new router that is known to work without disconnection issues and call Comcast to set it to bridge mode for you, or replace the Technicolor gateway all together
    with a router and modem set up.

    Is the reason why many people are randomly disconnecting because of our router model?

    Take a look at this Comcast thread: forums.comcast.com/.../2398585

    This is a known issue with the Technicolor TC8305C Gateways from Xfinity. They pushed out a firmware update that is causing drops. A Comcast CSR recommended to go to a Comcast store and switch out the Gateway for the Arris TG862.
