Solved: Xbox 360 - Hulu won't play due to recent update

Hi,

I recently started having trouble with Hulu. After trying every possible tech trick, I finally called Hulu tonight.

We went through all the troubleshooting steps that I already tried for the last few days and then I called them back.

Come to find out, the recent Xbox 360 update has caused Hulu not to play shows/movies and it is considered a "KI" (known issue).

They said that since it's a KI, they have added my case to the list of escalated cases for this problem.

I just want to say it here, as well, because this is a real pain in the neck, especially since we are all home-bound.

Please get this resolved guys!

Hi Bruh,

After several days of wracking my brains on this issue, I decided to go ahead and start watching Crackle again. When starting it tonight, a pop-up came up to download an update for DRM license content viewing. I installed it and started wondering if that
was the issue with Hulu. It was!

I called Hulu back (3rd time) to share this with them and they were very happy to get my news, as they were still trying to find answers for everyones' problem with not being able to watch Hulu. They only knew it happened with the recent updates, just not
was wrong. They said they were taking this straight to the supervisors, agents and so on. So, I guess they were as happy as I am. LOL

I know not everyone has other movie apps on their consoles, but if they do, they should try running through the different ones to see if they can get this latest update for the DRM content.

Thanks for that link, but looking at that list, I did all that stuff on my own for several days, thinking if it didn't work the first time, maybe it would work again later. hahaha

Thing is, I was able to get into Hulu, just not run the shows/movies. I could watch Crackle, play online games, yada yada...it was all about the DRM licensing not being in that other update.

Oh! And I should state that I played Crackle since the Hulu issues, but tonight it whirled for a few then the update came up.

Crazy how things work! After I was on the last straw, then it came through. LOL

Try hard resetting your xbox by holding the xbox logo on your xbox.

Update on XBOX 360. I have both Xbox One and an Xbox 360 as I like to play some of the older games. Recently I decided to play a game on the 360 and it called for an update - and the update turned my Xbox 360 into a BRICK. The update bombed out, tried
it again... then it said I had no hard drive or that I would have to format the hard drive. It won't sign me in to Xbox Live, and it won't let me download my profile for a refresh. I have tried everything suggested on Xbox.com - but nothing works. I have
a brick. Not happy as Xbox should take responsibility for screwing up the 360 with an update, and I'm not the only one it seems as there is a plethora of the same complaint. Thanks for nothing Xbox,.... yeh, you got it, I'm not happy.

Ok so you have done all the system updates needed, do you have the Netflix and Hulu apps installed on the Xbox 360?
