SOLVED I sign into the Xbox Beta App but as soon as I click "Let's Play" and go back to...

I was able to solve this after fidgeting with a few things. What finally solved this was the following:

1. I had a spare email address that I used to create a new MS account and gamertag.

2. I signed into that account on the Xbox App on PC.

3. Signed out of that new account.

4. Signed back into my original account.

I don't know exactly what that did on the back end to fix the issue but whatever it did, it fixed it so I can now play games on games pass again!

I click "Profile & Settings" > "Sign In"

A new window pops up.

I select my account. Click Continue.

"Please Wait" pops up.

Then I get a screen that says " Welcome Back!"

I Click "Let's Play"

When I go to play a game it tells me I must be signed in to play that game. I go back to the Xbox app, click "Profile & Settings" and it doesn't show me as signed in.

How do I resolve this?

Edit:

I've now uninstalled the Xbox app, reinstalled it and restarted my computer multiple times and I'm still having the same issue.

Yes, both my PC and my Xbox use the same account. I've been using them like this for a few months now. No one is on the Xbox while I'm trying to sign in to the Xbox app on my PC and I'm not getting the message, "Signed out of account elsewhere".

The profile/user from where you are using the Xbox App is using the same Microsoft account as the one you use for Xbox?

I was able to get some more information. while my account works fine on the site. in a chat i was advised to install the Xbox Beta App and install the game from there.

Within the Xbox Beta app I click on the grey profile icon in the top right corner, and select settings, on Account I click "sign in" button, and get the same login box as within the game. I login there click "lets play" and then I see the sign in button
again.

Logging in fails for some reason. there is no error message.

I have the same issue. No errors when signing in, just goes through the motions. I click on lets play button after signing in and it shows that im not logged in. I also cant play any games through the app. Get an error that i'm not logged into xbox.
tried reinstalling the xbox pc beta app, and the xbox identity provider app, restarted pc, and still not fixed.

for me the xbox beta PC app will open and when I click sign in, it signs me in with the correct account, and then I close the pop up window and the app is not signed in. I can hover over the sign in drop down and do it 500 times but it never actually lets
me sign in.
