(Solved) Hanging upon startup when signing in

Hi all,

So recently today I turned on my Xbox 360, to my dismay, I kept hanging upon startup. If this problem has been happening to you as well, then just follow these steps.

1) Turn off your Xbox.

2) Plug out your ethernet cable ( for those using wireless I'm not sure about you guys, sorry :/ )

3) Turn on your Xbox, after the Xbox 360 logo appears and the gray screen appears, click your Home Button and launch the disc inside immediately. ( Do not wait for the Xbox to sign into your profile )

4) Once the game has launched or to be safe, goes to the start screen, plug in your ethernet cable and connect to Xbox live.

5) Kick ***!

If these steps do not work, I am sorry, this method has been working for me and my friends.

It works but once you quit game it gets stuck again...

It is really annoying to connect / disconnect ethernet cable...

For those on WiFi they can simply disable WiFi radio or turn off their router while launching X360.

 

i'm using wireless connection, and still got this problem Please help...

 

workaround on wireless, provided auto-sign-in disable.. else, turn off ur AP for awhile then disable auto-sgin-in,

1. skip sign-in then disable auto-sign-in..

2. then start any game u want by disc or on hdd..

3. at the game start screen (which usually ask to press "Start"), press "XBOX" button then login..

4. once logged in, continue playing or you can go to setting to disable auto-sign-in

 

Why edit the subject to say 'solved'? You have a workaround but it's not solved.

 

Exactly, i came in because of the title.

Nothing been solve, mine still freeze at dashboard.

 

Sorry everyone! Not sure how to change the titles but I'll state it in this post..

This is not a permanent fix! It is a temporary one until Microsoft fixes this problem.

 

Finally it works.

I got mine working after 5th time talking to support and times of experiment.

This is how it make my freeze dashboard gone.

On the console, press and hold the power button until it completely shuts off - Hold it around 5sec.

After that let go, then unplug all the cables at the back of the console, from the socket, TV etc.

And leave it that way for a minute or 2 and then reconnect everything.

Then, turn the console back on. Try sgin in again.

I hope this really is a SOLVED.

 

I think this issue has resolved. Tested late last nite, able to login xbox live and access dashboard as usual. Can anyone else confirm. I think it has been resolve at server side.

The post above this one's method worked for me. Had no trouble going to the dashboard. Rebooted again to make sure, it still works!

 

Just to add on to the step 1 of my method. It is not necessary to use the game disc if you do not have. You can also load any game you download or purchased from the xbox 360 Stores which is located in My Games at Games menu. In regardless arcade or xbox
360 game. Or you can also use the App like Youtube in My Apps at Apps Menu.

My Method:
