    Solution to Xbox 360 installed games on hard drive freezing


    Hello:

    I know xbox 360 is old, but I have got a problem since I bought the console. And now I have the curiosity if this problem can be solved.

    The problem is that the games that can be installed in the HDD from the disc always freeze around a 5/10 minutes of play. For example, I could only play fallout new vegas in the disc because of this problem (so the xbox make more noise, the disc may suffer,
    and also is freezes but less less usually).

    I think that the digital games (free xbox live games) worked well. The problem were the installed games in the HDD.

    Can someone help me? Thanks.

    Do you have your console in a cool place with lots of ventilation?

    Is your game disc in good condition?

    Do other games cause the console to freeze?

    If you have a hard drive or a USB flash drive with sufficient space, try installing your game, see if this fixes the freeze issue you have.

    Well if you install games to your Hard drive you will save your Disc drive in the long run because the laser is not being used as much and will also stop making your Xbox 360 work soo hard . But as Mister Darcy had provided with the

    Is that how much space left is in the hard drive or did you buy the hard drive with 60GB of space?

    Try removing the hard drive from the console and running the game back without the hard drive. See if it's the hard drive causing the issue.

    If that doesn't work, maybe it is the disc. Let me know what happens after the first solution.
