Hi, yes the game challenges can be played at later dates, that way if you cannot access the game for that date, then you can anytime after.

It seems I was wrong. I checked and you can only go back 30 days, which have to be the same month the game is on. It's a good idea though, so reaching out to the Microsoft casual games developer team would be a good idea to try and get the feature implemented.
