    Solitaire Collection will not connect to Xbox Live LinkID=808235


    I am getting a Save File Error when I open the Microsoft Solitaire Collection. When the collection opens, it doesn't connect to Xbox and I am playing as a guest. When I attempt to connect it says that there is a problem connecting
    and tells me to go to

    Microsoft - Official Home Page808235. There is one other post here that addresses this issue and I have tried everything in that post on my computer and still cannot connect.

    Connectivity problems on one PC but not another

    I was having problems with games shutting down abruptly on one PC using Windows 10. So, I tried some of the suggested fixes such as uninstalling and reinstalling the games. They didn't help.

    Then I started getting a Save File Error when open the Microsoft Solitaire Collection. When the collection opens, it doesn't connect to XBox and I am playing as a guest. When I attempt to connect it says that there is a problem connecting and tells me
    to go to

    I have done that several times with no apparent effect.

    The issue seems to be unique to one PC since I am able to play these games on my laptop using my ID.

    I presume that my XBox app is corrupt but I don't seem to be able to uninstall it and reinstall it.

    Hi Joe,

    Issues with connecting to the Xbox Live are possibly caused by an incorrect network configuration on your computer or the Xbox Live Services are disabled. To resolve your concern, please provide us the following information:

    • Is your computer connected via a wired or a wireless network?
    • Have you made any changes to your computer prior to the issue?
    • Have you checked if the NAT type is Open on the Xbox App? To check the NAT type, launch the Xbox App and go to
      Settings. Then click on the Network tab.

    In the meantime, you may also enable the Xbox Live Services by following the steps below:

    1. Press the Windows key on your keyboard and type Services in the search box.
    2. Once the Services window opens, scroll down and look for Xbox Live Auth Manager,
      Xbox Live Game Save, and Xbox Live Networking Service.
    3. You have to repeat the steps on each service. Right-click on each service and click
      Properties.
    4. Make sure that the Startup type is set to Automatic.
    5. If the Service status is stopped, click on Start.
    6. Click OK to save the settings.

    If the issue persists, clear the local Xbox identity data.

    1. Open File Explorer and paste the following into the address bar to go to a specific location on your computer:
      %userprofile%\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.XboxIdentityProvider_cw5n1h2txyewy\AC\TokenBroker
    2. Delete any accounts and cache folders that you can see at this location.
    3. Launch the Xbox App and sign in to your account again.

    The solution made the setting go from moderate to strict and also blocked access. Restoring all changes brought it back to moderate and connected. The game still says corrupt save file and will not allow me to login to the games.

    Yes, I have tried to uninstall-reinstall the solitaire collection app. I pay for the premium edition. I have downloaded two other games a spider solitaire and solitaire pro but both of them do not work either.
