Solitaire Collection for W10 not tracking progress for Marathon and Gimme 5! achievements

I started playing this last month, midway thru, and although I successfully unlocked the Perfection achievement for completing every daily challenge in a month, Marathon and Gimme 5! failed to progress any (remaining at 0/31 and 0/5 all month long). Thinking
maybe with a new month upon us that they would actually track, when I checked my progress, despite doing all five challenges for today (11/1), my progress towards the two achievements are still 0/30 and 0/5. I even redid one a couple times, just in case that
would force it to progress, but nothing.

Microsoft Solitaire Collection: Gimme 5! Achievement not working

The Gimme 5! achievement isn't tracking. I have completed 2 days-worth of challenges in a row, all six of them, i check the achievement progress and it is at 0%, not 40%. Also the Marathon achievement isn't tracking correctly.

I had done 1 challenge from 5 separate days in a row and it didn't track it either, i don't have the achievement.

 

Ultimate Word Games: Gimme Five! achievement not unlocking

I've been playing the daily challenges for eight days straight so far (as evidenced by the Marathon achievement progress). Gimme Five! is currently showing 5/5 for progress, but the achievement is still locked. I tried viewing the achievement on Xbox.com
and the Xbox app (which sometimes "unsticks" a stuck achievement, but not this time), resetting the app, and completely uninstalling and reinstalling it. What gives?

 

Hey there, J! Sorry for the delay in response to your post here. When I came across this yesterday, I wanted to make sure I was seeing what you were seeing.

I went to
Marathon, because apparently you can go back and do subsequent days for the Daily Challenges. The first one I did gave me 1 tick mark for both Marathon and Gimme 5 (but didn't give me anything for Web Surfing after completing a Spider game, but I don't
think it does those for the daily challenges). The games from the 1st and the 2nd that I decided to do to see if the ticks showed up for those didn't show. Because of that, I wanted to wait until today to see if doing today's challenge was going to work for
me.

It did! YAY.

Well, that's not good news for you, per se, but it does mean that troubleshooting should resolve your issue. However, it appears that going back in the daily challenges only works for Strive for Perfection now instead of Marathon like previously known. Phew,
long story to get to now.

Let's get those troubleshooting steps out of the way and see if they help you out.

• First, sign out of the Xbox App by going to Settings on the left, and then signing out in the center there. This will sign you out of all the MS games. (Don't worry, though, everything is saved on the cloud side, so your
  progress should be saved.)
• Then, uninstall Solitaire. To do this, click on the Start menu, then click on
  All apps. Scroll down to Microsoft Solitaire Collection and right click, then select
  Uninstall.
• Click in your Search bar after it's uninstalled and type in: wsreset
  
• Hit Enter and it will run a reset for Windows Store items (a form of clearing cache for the Store). It will run a command prompt in the background of the Store, and then it will disappear. Give it a full 3 minutes if you don't see anything,
  though.
• Once that is done, restart your PC.
• When your computer is back up and running, install Solitaire, sign in, and try a Daily Challenge!
  

Let me know if that fixes you up, or if you're still having issues. We want to ensure this is working for you, so hopefully we can get this sorted out!

 

I'm having what seems to be a similar sort of problem with Microsoft Solitaire Collection and Microsoft Mahjong. I try opening them on my computer but they keep cutting out on me. I also have Microsoft: Jigsaw, Sudoku and Minesweeper, but probably because
I have no games data stored for them I have no problems with these games.

I'm not sure where the above is coming from with regards to Marathon and Spiders, is this the deluxe version of the Solitaire Collection.

Anyway, I've often tried uninstalling and installing these games several times. But if I try wsreset, that you've mentioned above, on my computer do you think this will help?

I'm at work at the moment but shall I try when I get home?

Tried the steps, and I'm still stuck at 0/30 and 0/5, having done all five of today's challenges (and every challenge to date this month).

Before posting, I too had checked TA, and others mentioned for October and now November, the achievements' numbers weren't moving (in the comments for the individual achievements).

 

Oh man, this is weird. I've been able to successfully get the marks for both achievements throughout the week. I've been testing to make sure it doesn't reset for some reason.

Is your PC fully up to date? Hit the Start Menu and do a search for "Check for updates". Select the check box for "Check online for updates from Microsoft Update." Then hit the button to check for updates. It should install all of them automatically.

Then wait a day and try again for Daily Challenge. See if it shows up then.

If that doesn't work, my last suggestion is to try another PC with Windows 10. It may be a PC issue.

However, if that doesn't work, either, I highly suggest seeing if you can get those others that are being affected in here. The more people I have, the easier it is to bring it up to those that look into these things.

 

There is no "Check online for updates from Microsoft Update," option, but Settings -> Update & Security -> Windows Update didn't find anything new (updates are automatically installed), and "Give me updates for other Microsoft products when I update Windows,"
under advanced options is checked.

 

It's a BUG!!

If you've played game on win8 version having 5gold medals and upgrade os to win10, install the game, everything seems fine, you can see 5gold medals sitting there and some achievements carried over. But if you RETURN to win8 and got another 3gold medals,
unlock Go for the XYZ, Gimme 5!, Marathon achievements, then head to win10 version, achievements DO NOT CARRY OVER, and these achievements will be GLITCHED.

I followed the troubleshooting steps posted by Misses Quinzel to the letter and the Marathon achievement tracker is still showing 0/30.

I migrated to the Windows 10 version after completing the game on Windows 8. All other achievements migrated correctly apart from Marathon. No attempts at date changing or solving a puzzle every day this month has made any difference.

 

Yeap a Win10 issue for sure, everyone has the same problem, be helpful and past it onto Microsoft and get it sorted

 

Since it's being brought up, I figure I might as well note that I myself migrated to W10 from W7, so I never played the W8 version, in the off chance it matters any.

 

Migrated to Windows 10 after completing the Win8 version of solitaire. Can't make any progress on Give Me 5! Or Marathon. Progress is stuck at 0/5 and 0/30. Most of the other achievements unlocked correctly.

 

I'm having the same issue as the OP. I'll try the uninstall/reset cache/reboot/reinstall suggestion.
